Being that they teleported to a moving ship from beyond a scope range of your best sensors, id have asked why they couldn't just teleport a grenade beside their foe before offering to accept the contract… Eldritch horror or no, they would probably enjoy fucking with me so being smart enough to identify an easy answer then letting them play their game might save my life…

Interesting. Good story. But great Buddha's ball sack, dear author, pick 1st or 3rd person and stick with it. Took me pausing and reading and doubling back. Too muddled to really get absorbed into it.

Like almost all these stories, it leaves a lot unsaid. It is as if they can not end a story, just begin it.
