Is the F-35 better than the J-20? I bet it is but the J-20 is the first stealth aircraft from China while F-35 is inherits decades of experience.
But give China time and things most likely change.
China has today four time more STEM graduates than USA (data from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service) and in USA half of them are foreigners (and many of them are chinese!). Even Russia has more national STEM graduates than the USA.
China is the world leader in 37 out of 44 critical technologies (data from Australian Strategic Policy Institute) and with so much more STEM graduates the lead will most likely increase.

I feel like I've seen this movie before with a Russian plane that was supposedly the greatest interceptor ever.
During the ukraine war we have seen russian armaments and ammunition fail. China is no better. Even if they have long range missiles, if i was a chinese pilot i wouldnt trust the missiles or my landing gear to work

In fact,in the last year,in the airspace over the East China Sea, the J-20 on standby flew behind the F-35 without being detected by the F-35, and even the F-35 radar did not provide any warning. If it were during wartime, this F-35 would probably have been destroyed

Lol Americans really think we are so superior as if China isn't our building Americans in missile technology they can out build us with ships they can out produce America. They are building their military. We have had our military where we wanted it for a while but they are coming and it's a serious threat. J20 is faster and holds more weapons than the f35 and F22. The only thing America has over them was super cruise but they've found out how to super cruise they rebuilt their engine. The f35 is a dud only 29 percent of them are air worthy they just admitted that when Congress questioned them. They sacrificed speed and payload for stealth and it's came to bite us. The plane can be locked on to. And if you think Russia or China has haphazard radar systems and surface to air missiles your mistaking. We building a new bomber because they arent even stealthy enough anymore and it's being built particularly for China. Because flying to China now would certainly be a nightmare. Don't listen to this they are a threat that should be taken seriously.

China is worlds manufacturing hub. American F35 is also not war proven. China is advancing in technology. So far no engine fire and crashes reported for Chinese J20. Many F35 crashes are reported
