Another loan from Tony – Joe Satriani’s signature drives and delay…REALLY useful pedals, I reckon?

Nice
Okay this is the new best thumbnail
got both,,, the satchurator is deffinatly an aquired tase , not for me lol, the big bad wah is good though
I had satchurator 11-12 years ago it was great. Should’ve kept it.
Only Satriani can sound like Satriani using these, normal people will need to use other stuff to sound like him.
he used to have the satchurator tone set at 9 oclock, more goes to full gain , the output volume is quiet low on the pedal on the ice9 the more boosts the volume by a lot
Everyone knows that all you need is a wah, fuzz face, ocavio/a, and a univibe! LOL!!
volume pot on that guitar needs cleaning.
I have my Sathurator into my Ice 9 and it sounds great together. Also have the Time Machine in the effects loop. I can make the vintage/modern switch on the Ice 9 stick between both which gives another setting.
I’ve got the satchurator and Time Machine, fell out of love with the satchurator but used the Time Machine for years, brilliant delay. May have to dig them out of the cupboard and give them another whirl
I have the Time Machine and love the sound of it but the tap tempo glitches on me sometimes. For instance, if you tap in a tempo it will change to it but (sometimes) 2-5 seconds in it changes back to the previous tempo. Still haven’t figured what causes this. If anybody has info I’d love to hear it!
Maybe a “Legato is Life” would be popular?
Love ice 9
Purchased a Satchurator back when it came out…2008, 2009???.
Had it for about a year and just did not like it so i sold it. Ever since i always wondered if selling it was a mistake. This video proves that it was the right move to get rid of it.
I think this is the only video of yours that i just do not like your tone.
The saturator is my favorite distortion with a tube amp. I haven't gotten similar results with modelers
My only regret is that there is no way to like this video twice…
Cordy…you need to get hold of a Chandler Stereo Digital Echo. It’s a 1 RU delay unit from back in the day. (Well, maybe not YOUR day, but mine.) It’s a great sounding piece. It does that phase inverted trick that the TC 2290 does (if you run it in stereo. There is a mono output as well. It 1 input, 2 outputs.)
Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani both used to use them.
Some great tones. Today's intro jam was particularly tasty. You must have been inspired!
Interesting demo of those 3 Pedals. I like Joe's melodic approach to guitar playing, and his distortion choices are instructive. Thanks
had a time machine, simple robust delay and lasted many years on my board. highly recommend, also on lofi setting.
Have the Satchurator and Timeline collecting dust in their boxes somewhere… Never could get over the brightness of the Satchurator; essentially just used it with a cocked Wah in front. Also haven't played it in more than half a decade. Maybe it's time to try it out, again.
I used to satchurator into a JC 120, Les Paul R0 with a patent sticker hum in the bridge. It was a killer stage tone, and touch sensitive to boot – cleaned up well.
I remember sometime between 2005&2008, regularly visiting and playing the Ice9 at my local guitar store, but never justifying the purchase because I chose to pay my college tuition and eat food instead. Oh, the foolishness of youth!!
Do the jeff kollman pedal…the kollmanation
I gigged the time machine for many years. I sold it to buy a "better" delay, after trying half a dozen others I realised that the time machine sat in a mix perfectly and had everything I needed.
The delay is basically a Boss Dd3t. And the ice 9 is awsome for metal.
I prefer a tubescreamer circuit into a rat circuit 👨🍳
John, that was some incredibly good playing. Just very, very good
I got the satchurator when it first came out. I had swapped out the clipping diodes for LED’s and was replacing the caps when I got to ambitious and connected something wrong and burned it up. I still regret that mistake
The Time Machine was my first ever delay pedal.
I reckon the ices overdrive missed an opportunity to call it Moreis… So when you engage the more switch you've got the Moreismore… I'll get my coat.
I remember having the Satchurator and in my rig really struggling to get a volume boost out of it. The concept of headroom was something that had not been explained to me back then. And that's why I sold it.
one of the best backing tracks you made and supreme playing as always !!
