Hey Addie, nice reaction. This is one of my favorite Jim Carrey films. I used so many lines my freshman year in high school that I was quite annoying to others. "Can't make the scene if you don't have the green, I better make a little stop." "Waste not, want not." "Look Ma, I'm road kill, Ha Ha Haa!" "It's party time, P-A-R-T-Why? Because I gotta!" This movie never gets old, there's a sequel, if you choose to see it.
In real life when he told the police he was just looking for his mask, things would have turned out differently. The cop would have wanted ID. Ten other police would show up. They would want to know why he was there. They would illegally search him suspecting he had drugs. The slightest little thing Stanley did would be met with an attitude by the police. They would try to cook up some reason to arrest him. Everything Stanley would do would be called "resisting". He would be tased multiple times, possibly body slammed to the ground, paralyzing him for life. The cops would investigate themselves and find no wrong doing and ten years later Stanley would win a lawsuit paid by the taxpaying citizens. Where could I come up with such an imaginative story? From the thousands of online videos depicting it!
Nobody could have played that role better the Jim Carrey!
