Seattle Mariners defensive wall:
2-runs allowed = an 80% win ratio.
Great defensive job. There are three winning factors that are consistent in the history of MLB:
1, 3-runs and under allowed.
2. Running the pitch count up of the opponents' starting pitcher.
3. Teamwork makes the dream work. Or what Bill Belichick likes to say: "It doesn't matter, next man up."
Yep, injuries, trades, strike outs, base hits, home runs ect…. are all going to happen. And that is true. But in order to maximize your effort and minimize their effort. Your defense is what will give your team an advantage over your opponent.
Because you have become accustomed to playing at a high defensive level. And your opponent is not. And when it's time to perform. They WILL self desruct. But you will not. And that is your edge.

Munoz getting used to the long saves. This is good. Too many wussy pitchers and restrictive pitch counts this day and age. If his arm hurts, take him out otherwise, if he wants to pitch and gets results, just let him.
