I believe she was murdered, there was another woman (Dorothy kilgallen) that she knew (pictures of them are out there) whom died under similar situations. She was a writer and not known to abuse drugs or anything, when they found her in bed the scene was really off. She was laying in bed with all her clothes on (she had been on a game show that night) something she never did, she had a open book in her hands but had she been reading it from that position it would've been upside down. She was also writing an important piece that I believe was about the Kennedy's (I'm about to sleep so the details are a little fuzzy) and I believe she had a affair with one or both of them too. There's a lot more that is similar with her death and odd things that happend after and I suggest looking into it if this intrest you.
The police officers that once said it was probable suicide changed there story that it was a staged murder. Also if it was probable suicide then they should of treated the scene like a crime scene and investigated rather than letting the maid continue to wash clothes while there's a dead body in the next room. They also have changed there stories multiple times, why would you need to change your story if your telling the truth? or the fact that the maid fled the country as soon as she drove out of there. All the evidence points as murder but if you have money fame or power it seams like you can do and get away with anything you want. Very sad that the justice system is still the same and will never change.

She was first found at about 12 midnight (the light was on) Cops weren't summoned until about 3 a.m. — (her body may have been moved from the guest house to the bedroom) She was locked inside the bedroom and lying on the bed… everything was very neat and "arranged".. a bedroom window was broken… most of the shards of glass were OUTSIDE the window.. (suggesting someone had locked the door from the inside and went out through the window.)
Coroner's report found no traces of pills or drugs in her stomach…
RFK had seen her earlier in the day of her death… some say he came back around 7 p.m. along with Peter Lawford… and possibly two other unknown men…
Coroner found evidence that her rectum was strangely discolored and bruised… (drug suppository?)
