Ann Robinson, who appears as the Grandmother at the end of the film amd starred in the 1953 film, will celebrate her 95th birthday on May 25, 2024.
The album is pretty good!
Here is the deal. If ๐ฝ going take us out they would not wasting time terrorizing us. Get a grip
10:23 ok, so the emp knocked out everything except that camcorder..
The most unrealistic part of this movie is that Ray is the only one in a crowd of like a thousand people whose packing heat ๐
You guys have got to watch THE MIST
Oh! By the way, you gals! Ahem. Morgan Freeman is the narrator! Once you finally remember, as I just did, that he's "Al Mighty" in both "Bruce Almighty" and "Evan Almighty" then this movie seems a bit self promotional! ๐ ๐๐
u girls are adorable poor things lol
Probably this is the first movie to feature the Javelin anti-tank missile.
EMP takes out all circuits but then you do a cool shot looking through a camcorder and then for the plot you just need one car to magically start working again.
the movie is decent but that always bugged the hell out of me.
Like does anyone care about giant plot holes or not?
Put it this way because they had no immunity to anything on earth it was pretty much like everything was mega covid. Even the common cold was 100% lethal to them to give you an idea. I understand that's a whole different thing but pretty much any disease we got on Earth without an immunity to it is 100% lethal. So they were catching it left and right especially doing what they were doing to the humans.
A Steven Spielberg Movie With Tom cruise ๐ค๐ฒ๐๐๐๐
A few notable quotes,
"We're under attack!" "Is it the terrorists" "we've got to get back at them"
Yeah, this film was made after 9/11 attacks
I remember tearing up just from anxiety in the theater. Plus the dust was a very deliberate reference to 9/11 and we were a lot closer to it in memory back then.
Could you please react to: The Mambo Kings (1992), with Antonio Banderas and Armand Assante.
Please make a reaction to The Northman (2022)
They died from a common cold. Is based on a 19th century scifi novel, by HG Wells, and yeah, humanity lost, trhough and through, saved just because they couldn't adapt to our germs. Had they put on a hazmat suit, and they would ve won completely.
Hands up who spotted the splinter at the start was a metaphor for the whole story? "My body will push it out on its own when its ready"- the world will push the aliens out on its own when its ready.
Just like Independence Day was based off this movie concept the aliens were taken down by a virus in both movies
I saw this at the cinema when it came out. There was a really good atmosphere because it was a full house.
War of the World created CAOS in the 1938 broadcast. I love the history of this story. and I recommend you check it out. Here is the original radio recording, it lasts an hour, it was so well done that people FORGOT it was a regular show, and they started freaking out that they overwhelmed the phone operators, police and were even leaving New York in a hurry…. some people almost committed suicide! Oh, and when they translated the show in spanish, a little town in Colombia freaked out so bad they burned down the radio station and yes… people got hurt and killed. This was an epic radio show. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs0K4ApWl4g
This is a terrible version of War of the Worlds. Should never have set it in America for starters. The 1950โs version is far superior. Plus if you want a real adaptation watch the Jeff Wayne musical version.
I think so many people hated this movie in 2005 is because they were probably expecting another action/adventure like Independence Day, when in reality this is a horror/catastrophe movie with aliens
she really just ask "how is it so intelligent?" bruh, its an alien
check out the 1950s one… way better in my opinion…
So weโre acting during the movie now? The singing was a little muchโฆ ๐
8:12 hey that the Copper tire guy, Cooooper!
You are so anoying stop with this ooooo ooooo uuuuuu aaaaa jesus….
I wouldn't be afraid of an alien attack if it happened..I would be more afraid of society and how everyone would turn on each other like the mini van scene
In conclusion – The Plot Sum Of All Fears, ALL OF THE FEARS, just all of them!
Have you seen Mystic River?
I'm still trying to overcome the trauma from the pandemic. Watching this movie again ended up pushing all sorts of buttons for me.
LOL oh my gosh! oh my gosh! …too funny… my stomach's hurting! wooo!
"The Javelin is the key" refers to the Javelin missile launcher they shoot at the tripod i would assume.
Yes the xenomorph is going to die of a cold. What a lame ending.
There are more probabilities that aliens will launch biological weapons unto us and not to risk a 1 to 1 fight.
We will never know that there were aliens in the first place, We will die of the infection.
I never understood the son's perspective. He doesn't want to help his dad or his sister, but is willing to join the soldiers. I guess he has no clue what kind of discipline is required of servicemen.
