Founded in 1967 in San Francisco by Jann Wenner, the magazine became a cultural beacon that helped shape America and defined generations, always understanding that rock ‘n’ roll was more than simply music. The documentary features performances by an eclectic mix of artists, including The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and The Clash, and spotlights the magazine’s impact by showcasing many groundbreaking stories of its writers. There are also previously unheard audio recordings, interviews, and rare photos and footage. Actor Jeff Daniels narrates.

Rolling Stone magazine is a tabloid rag whose content needs to be triple fact-checked before you should even consider believing
Great mag back in the day until they got pretty much solely political and boring.
When I was young, many decades ago, I use to think Rolling Stone was so cool. Little did I know it would turn out to be a leftist propaganda crap-hole.

I once dated the guy who designed "The Urinater" I called him the piss salesman. He knew he was going to do well with his invention when it was advertised in the Rolling Stone.
