Restaurant story telling people to Google for answers…that only works if you can trust that things are kept up-to-date. Especially during the pandemic, hours, menus etc. weren't accurate and customers would get annoyed when they tried to order something the site said was available but wasn't, or the hours were different because of staffing. Yes, the phone calls are annoying, but pissed off customers are worse.
Edit after the story: okay, this woman was still annoying.
My bio mom went around telling everyone we were naming my first baby after brother and grandpa (we were not). Their names werent even a consideration. They weren't bad names but I knew they didn't feel like my baby. We decided not to tell her the name till the ink was dry. She was not happy, as she was convinced that our baby would have turned out just like brother and grandpa and achieve the same things in life just by being named after them. I'm not joking, that's literally what she thought would happen. I told her if that was true she'd be the queen of England by now. She didn't like that

Ugh, the reading one got to me. I had that issue at a day camp. It sucked there, the kids were awful, I had more fun reading Harry Potter than interacting with other people. I avoided gym time like the plague because there were balls flying everywhere.

The mother in law is over stepping her boundaries and the husband is enabling her. She doesn't get the right to name anyone but her own children which she gave up that right, if she isn't lying but that's the ugliest name I heard and I hope the husband does convince her to change it.

A story comes to mind about high end services that came from a colleague in grad school. He had previously worked for an exclusive landscaper. This was in the Subtban Essex County area of NJ where Jackie O grew up. If they saw any sign that an electrical hedge trimmer was used on hedges and shrubs they would drop you as a client. There was a long and exclusive waiting list to hire their services. He caught one client doing it and the man actually groveled to ask my friend not to report it.
There is a reason to only use clippers to trim shrubs and hedges. Careful trimming of the interior makes it flush with new growth to make a more solid looking plant. If you trim just the outside the interior may wither and give a hollow look. That is one way that those amazing topiaries look so good.

The story where the girl cried and got kicked out is ridiculous, that mom needs put in her place. Just because someone cries doesn't mean they're weak or would make a bad mother. She's just cruel.
Story 1- MIL may be an ahole, but Andromeda? Seriously?! Stop naming your babies ridiculous names! I'd rather be named Mary than frickin Andromeda, jesus christ…..ESH 🤦♀️

Story2- when they complain, throw cans of spam or (still frozen in box) tv dinners at them. While your at it, demand to be payed for each meal made if they make demands

Story 1: Changing the baby's name to Mary doesn't get the MIL to stop, it lets her have her way
Story 3: The husband has invited his friend to live with them and isn't telling the wife. The fact that the friend is so comfortable just walking in their bedroom is also suspicious, perhaps he has a reason to feel so at home in that room as well?
Story (I lost count) The Face Blind one: I have this icky feeling OP almost got SA'd until she proved she knew who she was talking to. Maybe I'm reaching and we don't have all the facts but not apologizing until she spoke his name is shady behavior. OP should probably avoid "strangers" and maybe not even answer her door unless she has someone she can trust with her.
Labrador Rottweiler mix named Ludo, after the character from David Bowie's Labrynth. He used to eat rocks when he was a puppy. We did manage to teach him not to eat rocks. We gave him a choice: Rock or Milk Bone. He chose Milk Bone every time. The Milk Bones clean his teeth, he gets treats that help dogs with hip dysplaysia and Churu treats as well as Puperoni is for bribing and distracting him when clipping his nails. We actually bought the Churu for the cat but the cat didn't like it and the dog loves it, so it works.
We used to have a phone operator at a big retail store that was a retired radio person. She wasn't the most patient person and had a tendency to say EXACTLY what she thought.
It was a very busy night before a holiday which the store would be closed for. We would actually be closing in a few hours. She had been getting very irritated by people calling and asking if we were open. Would we be answering the phone if we were closed?
The manager called a quick meeting for closing duties there in front of the operator's station. As we were discussing everything, one by one, each person's attention was drawn to a rhythmic banging noise coming from the operator's station.
Apparently, she had had enough and was banging the phone's receiver against the desk. She looked up and asked angrily, "How stupid can these people get? It's the fourth time the same woman called asking if we were still open."
Dude does anyone know what happened with the dancer that was going to sue for the neighbor recording and posting a video of them? I really want to know the outcome of that lmao
Story 1- I am sure people mentioned this but i would say everyone is wrong, the grandmother for trying to force a name and the parents for not considering the kids future being given a unique name, unless you have wealth or power (see musk and his password kid) they will be bullied for the name, or they would just be called Andy or Andrew, it has been a long time since i have been in school but i know kids will find anything as an excuse to bully.

As I said in another comment: Andromeda has been used time and again, not just in myth or as another galaxy's name. It's unusual, but objectively better than the unholy amount of "Kahleesi"s or "Goku"s out there. Quit being so judgemental, everyone objecting, 'cause y'all sound like the very types of people you're "warning" us about and would bully this child.
