Playing Ace Combat 4 for the first time on an original ps2 has been a really incredible experience. The story was phenomenal, the combat really locked in (already), and overall it has been an awesome time. Can’t wait to dive into Ace Combat 5.

Blockade is honestly one of my favorite Ace Combat tracks. It just makes you feel like you’re free in the open skies and nothing can stop you
I think you might like this game song: pathfinder way of the rightous – mythic power.
It all feels way more intense when you are running through the game on ace difficulty!
try the ps2 emulator its better graphics and control
What the hell man lol Bringing me back to when I first played this game over 20 YEARS AGO. AC4 was a early PS2 game and never let go of my copy. I like AC7 but I played the hell out of 4, 5 and 0.
Hey Marco, I know this is a little off topic, but are you planning on doing a reaction to the Project Wingman: Frontline 59 soundtrack? Jose Pavli has outdone himself by a mile here in my opinion.
Can't wait to see your playthrough of AC5 and Zero too!
Just so you know: during the mission Invinvible Fleet, you are in Comberth Harbor, and it’s during these very events that a certain naval officer named Matias Torres earned his fame. (He’s the psychotic captain of the Alicorn years later in ac7 dlc)
The soaring highs and crushing lows of playing the game. Big props for getting old hardware that is dedication.
Ah, the Holy Trinity. The memories…
12:43 that was beautiful
I like to think that 13 went back to the cape where the boy's family lived to pay his respects and in the smoldering ruins, found the sheet music and learned the father's song. Sort of like a way to atone for his sins. That's why the boy recognizes it and perhaps 13 recognized him and that's why he and the other pilots show charity to him.
Hey Marco, I’ve been working up the courage to comment here for a while now. First off, I’m really glad to find somebody else who enjoys video game music (and video games themselves) the way you do. I’ve shown your videos to my parents as well and we’ve been able to bond over them and share each other’s thoughts on the music we listen to as well because of it. So thank you. I also wanted to share a piece of music I think you may enjoy hearing (If certainly enjoy hearing your take on it). It’s technically not a piece from a game, but it’s good. “Lockdown” from Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Love your content and wishing you the best,
Ri-Guy
<<Oh him? I know him. Did you know there are 3 kinds of aces? Those who seek the Shattered Skies, those who pride in the Unsung War & those who can read the Belkan War. Those are the 3.>>
A song from Limbus Company released recently, I think you’d find it really really interesting to review.
Through Patches of Violet, but not the ones just posted which are about 4 minutes, it doesn’t really convey the exact same emotion of what you hear in game.
The correct music should be about 7 minutes long. It really is a beautiful duet, and it feels so different listening to it fresh for a second time. Really amazing at conveying that guilt and loneliness. Even on your first listening you can really feel like there's someone missing.
Im sad I will miss the live stuff due to work but you know I'll be watching every playback!
Well I just started this game so I guess we're both on this journey.
In case anyone didn't mention it and was curious about the first two guitar pieces featured in AC4, they're works of Agustin Barrios-Mangore. Specifically, "La Catedral" and "Una Limosna por de Amor de Dios".
Bro let's gooooooooooo. AC4 has such an insane OST and the art and story are untouchable. "I was just a child when the stars fell from the skies" still gives me goosebumps. My entire life started with that guitar.
allow me to officially welcome you to the Ace Combat community, now here's some challenges to get street cred: beat the holy trinity an Ace difficulty with an S rank on all missions, shoot down a bomber with rockets, bomb a flying super weapon, recover from a certain crash, kill the yellow squadron in Stonehenge on Ace difficulty with normal missiles, unlock all endings in Ace combat 3 (the full version). there is also a subcategory for crashing in funny ways which includes but is not limited to crashing into a bomber, flying into the ground whilst thinking your flying up and crashing just as you complete the mission.
by the way, in the level shattered skies if you manage to hit a yellow squadron twice they will all leave the level making it much easier
addendum, all the yellow squadron will leave if you hit just one of them twice on Shattered skies
Please some ff7 rebirth reactions 🙁
4:26 That caught me off guard, I will never call it anything else from now on because aren't we all?
In my opinion AC7 is the worst one but still a solid 8.5/10 Ac6 and Ac4 are the two more realistic ones in the flight model and Ac5 and Ac0 are the most well rounded. I'm happy you're enjoying them
Its the more dated of the three in terms of raw gameplay, but I always recommend starting with 4 to new players simply because of how much more intimate the story is.
Wait until you begin playing in Ace difficulty on the holy trinity.
Oh yeah, I’m here for this
I am so happy to see you getting tight with my favorite franchise. I've been watching your reactions for little over two years now, and to see how much you appreciate both the soundtrack and the gameplay warms my heart in way that is inexpressible.
