  1. Look, Ian, if Graphene were really the holy grail of energy, it would already be mass produced by now. If a company saw potential profits in mass-producing it, then hundreds of companies would be mass producing it by now. There is no conspiracy theory to suppress it, and government doesn't need to fund graphene production if it were really as profitable as you suggest. I really wish you would stop bringing up graphene in almost every single podcast.

  2. His claim about not having technology to use spent fuel rods is incorrect. Theres currently multiple designs for reactors that could utilize spent fuels rods, but the regulatory agencies refuse to allow it to move forward

  3. I will say this is refreshing. Somebody with a lot of experience who is obviously still on his ball game who knows what the the hell he’s talking about and yes, he’s got some things I agree with and some things I disagree with, but he’s a Democrat from back in the day when OK yeah that guy got in OK yeah fine don’t agree with him about everything but I didn’t agree with the Republican about everything good enough. 😊

  4. ALL life is equal we rationalize which life to keep and which life to take.
You have to own the responsibility of the choices that you make. do we want to be a society that takes the life of an unborn child or do we not?

  5. HOW MUCH PROOF DO YOU NEED THAT THE 2 PARTY SYSTEM IS A SHAM?? Im sure if trump gets in, he'll HIRE the swamp AGAIN, but this time surprise even his most cultish worshippers. AVATARS….ALL – ALL ON LEFT AND RIGHT -AVATARS/ACTORS.

  6. Ian and his "they're gonna pull carbon out of the air to make graphene" stuff is a bit problematic. While yes, you CAN do this, the return on energy is a huge problem. Likely what will happen is companies will dissolve limestone with acid, bottle the carbon dioxide, and use that instead.

The biggest problem behind pulling carbon out of the air is just how sparse the carbon molecules in a gas actually are. If you're wanting to do it any sort of scale, you'll need the solution developed by trees: vast numbers over vast distances operating for decades and centuries at a time.

  8. To answer the question by Tim Pool on how to start a defense contracting gig it's very easy. If you want guaranteed business coming in get a veteran on your board. If yoi can get a native American veteran that's a guarantee of a contract. You also need a security manager to handle security clearances. Find ine leaving the military. They're already familiar with the processes involved. You need a vault that meets isoprep standards for secret information and PII and there's a specific number your company will be assigned that you need to maintain. Keeo your company small and jump on body contracts. The big defense contracts areniallowed to xonteol the entire contract due to anti monopoly laws and they have to be partners with small businesses and a small business that's veteran owned and owned by ethnic minorities adds the highest chances of being picked up for a defense contract.
It's easy. The hard oart is ensuring your employees, being subcontracted to the larger contractor, are getting competitive wages because they'll be working next to people doing thr same job who are making 6 figures. Don't keep anymore than 15% of what the prime is paying your company for the additional bodies.

  9. Don't listen to podcasters about energy 😂
Why is Tim talking like he is broke and can't fund the lawsuit? I know it's gonna cost him money but trying to sound broke is just deceiving. Also rather than giving a one time donation to fund the lawsuit, he wants a monthly donation.
