As a Canadian I always find I have to catch myself when others abroad are describing distances. Listening to them discuss how difficult it is to travel all around Hokkaido I had to Google how wide the island isβ¦ apparent 300km. Thatβs a round trip from Toronto to my home town in rural Ontario.. a trip we take on a regular basis. Itβll be very interesting to see how traveling in Japan is compared to what Iβm used toβ¦

You guys are overselling Japanese food to insane levels, I've been to Japan multiple times and yes the food is good in general but it can be insanely unhealthy, a lot of it is deep fried, very salty and so on. Compared to UK food which you grew with, yes it is a 10 out of 10 but compared to some other countries it is a 7. Compared to Mediterranean diet it doesn't even come close. I'm not dumping on Japanese cuisine, I love it but no way it is a 10
