I did the same thing was in a building and assumed I was going to stay warm went to sleep and that was all she wrote !
You could have handled a night blizzard in the cave but those early morning storms are what get you.
I did almost the same thing just the other day. Early morning blizzard came in at the cave by the plane crash in PV. Woke up at dawn after sleeping 6 hours to get to the morning and move on. A blizzard blew in and I was freezing below 1/2 health when I woke up. If it had been a 10 hour sleep that may have been the end of that run if the blizzard kept going.
Good run, possibly the clothes were lower than you thought after those struggles and storms, really enjoy these runs keep it!
