New World is broken. It will remain broken and likely get even more broken the more they try to fix it, at least in the short term. The game is being held together by chewing gum and lolly pop sticks and it isn’t the developer’s fault. They were given a broken toolkit and told to create one of the most advanced video games to exist.

my guess is the investors are to blame not the developers, some huge changes were made at last moment before release and those changes were not even half cooked and all that just to appease to bigger range of players, i smell greediness, and this is what we get a game in a state where it should barely be in some closed beta phase not full release. will see in a year or two when the game is actually finished how much it changes, i might even go back
You dont really enjoy this game… The YT content creator that used to make cool build videos was paid to hype this piece of shit to the moon. The reason why you cant admit how bad the game sucks is because you are embarrassed. You dont want to return to your old game and guild with your tail between your legs. You dont want to believe that a cool Youtuber lied to you for money or that Amazon gives zero fucks about you satisfaction with the product.
You are in an abusive, toxic relationship. Every day you invest in this piece of shit is going to make you even more upset when they are either forced to shut down the servers or people just stop logging in.
They are not going to fix this game. It would cost more than building a new game from scratch. You know they cant and wont fix it, you just dont want to admit it to yourself.
I mean many of this bugs ect. I think, can't be found without community, it's simple, cheeck what we have with WoW on start ( and even later ) there so many problems still.

Sorry but I have to disagree Kira. I want to see New World fail and AGS go up in flames, because of how utterly incompetent they are and the bad reputation they further give games that already have a bad rep from other such garbage game devs like current Actiblizz, Ubisoft, etc. Enough is enough.
If bugs weren't created after fixing current ones then games wouldn't have weekly maintenances with bugfixes, not trying to defend AG, i already did quit 10 days ago due to fundamental flaws that make game awful for me, just stating the dev facts
Hopefully the momentous failure of this game will get leadership over at Amazon games fired finally. I had an idea where this had to be incompetence from the devs, but it's at least a little bit good to hear it was leadership's fault instead.

Is it bad that I'm experiencing schadenfreude when comparing this to the NGS launch? Sure NGS is super light on content and probably could have waited to be released, but for all the people saying "Sega doesn't know what they're doing, they're incompetent": Bish, they paved the way for online console gaming, they know exactly what they're doing. Case and point: New World.

I mean… They kinda have to relaunch, right? The game is so broken right now that no amount of patching will undo the damage to the economy and community that has already been done.
People won't come back for a simple patch because they'll know that all the advantages given to cheaters by exploiting the game will still be present.
They'll need a complete overhaul and restart to restore faith in the economy and progression of the game.
Well I don’t cheat and I don’t rush to end game so at least atm I am still enjoying the game 🤣
