  4. syll'esske requires successful unmodified 5s to crit, so they do not actually allow daemonettes to punch up against heavy armor, tragically.
    They also make daemonettes vulerable to big guns never tire which is Suboptimal for a unit that would prefer to be in combat for Not Getting Shot At purposes.

    not the best leader for daemonettes in my experience. frankly the daemonettes benefit syll'esske more than the other way around. still good at running around by themselves though

  6. Wait what?? Skull altar has infiltrate, that’s one, second if provides 6” aura of shadow of chaos (on infiltrating unit) third – for the same point cos as gnarlmaw it has T12 (so +3 over the tree) and 10 wounds. It’s durable enough to provide you with belakors trick for 250points cheaper, in the midfield, so where it matters, till turn 2. No more worrying about shadow of chaos, put it between objectives, deepstrike your bully units, enjoy.

    Now, I’m not saying it’s better than banished tier lol, but IMO it’s the best fortification in the entire game

  8. you guys are sleeping on Epidemius with rotigus and GUO being S tier I agree with ur take on them – they usually get u 7 kills each turn easy once in position especially with overwatch to generate the free cp then when u do decide to commit the plague bearer unit the durability is a nice bonus

  10. Soulgrinder is WAY Overrated, direct -> banished
    It's unplayable because of its size, cannot move on the battlefield, cannot deepstrike due to its size so either stuck in reserv, or stuck in our deployment zone .__. great way to lose 190 pts
    I prefer having a Karnivor from Chaos knights and one unit of nurglings and I still save 10 pts

    Same for Syll'Esske, the whip make the model really weak, the daemonettes make him weak because of their poor stats, and he is only usable alone but not that effective

    Daemonettes are shit units, way to expensive, way to weak T3 W1 ! For 110 pts it's a shame

    Pink horrors deserve to be upgraded next to plaguebearers, they are more durable (4+ save and split compared to T5 S5+)

  11. I didnt know skar gets more atk when Half wounds.. i usally never check that on datasheet used to -1….. Good to know.

    If could only use one in a mixed list who is better.. guo/enchantment or rotigus

    Nurgling cant hold objectives as they are oc 0 so starting them on the board doesnt do much for u

  13. So the serious question here is how do you fix nurgle heralds? How do you make them worth taking? I think the answer has to be that you need nurgle to be able to do damage and able to stand on its own more. Plaguebearers by themselves as y'all stated are a bad profile but that doesn't mean the buffs have to be wasted if they were good enough. Make them gain an attack if being led, let them come in 20s, and make the offensive buffs much better like poxbringer giving crits on fours, spoilpox sustained on fours, and sloppity Probably bringing an extra D3 back for every failed enemy battle shock within 6 in of them?

  14. I kinda disagree with your valuing of Daemonette's when you place Bloodletters higher. Firstly is that I think all the troops are kinda trash because it's back to the days of 8th when they were basically tax, units of 10 with that profile are not survivable whether a T4 or T3 with a 5+. Considering the edition was supposedly about making things less lethal, it's a pity that no Daemon troop got the memo. But if the criticism of Daemonette's was that you kinda need to buff them to make them work (which is true), then I think that criticism stands for Bloodletters as well. I think it's hard to point out which is better between their datasheet ability of Swift-taloned Slaughter (daemonette re-roll hit of 1) or Blood Begets Blood (bloodletter re-roll wound of 1) given that daemonette's would get an extra 10 attacks. I mean, you are probably pointing at targets for bloodletters as well from the Rendmaster if they aren't just sitting on objectives like daemonettes.

    As to GD's and all, I think the Keeper of Secrets in particular needs a Strength buff. In fact, in general I think all the Daemons need a strength/survivability buff. They have no transport options and while Deep strike is awesome, there are drawbacks. As to the Strength buff and why it is necessary, well mainly its' because we have T5 basic troops nowadays; the game has moved on from T4 scaling now that it essentially has infinite stats. Imo it does not make sense for Bloodletters to be S5 when their Hellblade is literally as large as a Space Marine Dreadnought's sarcophagus. Or a Lord of Tzeentch being only S6 when it's bicep is as thick as a space marine or at least a guardsman's torso.
