Marvel Set Up Spider-Man For The Cuck Chair

Marvel Comics do what they do best with Jackpot and Black Cat #1. Drive home the message that LGBTQIA+ representation trumps everything. And basically set up Spider-Man to see his 2 modern love interests get together. Never mind Mary Jane and Felicia Hardy have never been friends. Writer Celeste Bronfman needs them to be besties to finally get the 2 together with Peter Parker in the metaphorical cuck chair moving forward. Wes and Dok review Jackpot & Black Cat #1, a stark reminder that Marvel Comics want their longtime fans to leave comics for good. Marvel set up Spider-Man for the cuck chair in Jackpot and Black Cat #1.

  1. Yeah Marvel really set a golden standard from going from bad to worse. They sure really know how to disrespect Marvel's poster boy and other characters from how they were originally established.

  2. MJ like a superhero don't makes any sense. She always was one of best support characters in comics. This book is a great example of everything wrong in 616 universe in nowadays and why sucks so much. Marvel should learn with the success of Ultimate Spider-man and see what us older readers wanna to see in mainline. Felicia being bi is lame too.

  3. MJ's Jackpot costume looks like something cobbled together in DCUO from the generic equipment you get from standard quests. It's so boring, bland and uninspired, something you'd forget 2 seconds after you look away from it.

  4. When I first read this book, I thought I was being crazy. I felt like a paranoid person thinking that they were going out of their way to take shots at Spider-Man ( the real and only Spider-Man). I’ve been seeing signs of the hate and denigration that Spidey has been getting for quite a while now and it’s getting really, really old.

You guys have echoed my thoughts perfectly, and I just want them to stop pretending that it’s not obvious to the rest of us. Thank you for restoring my sanity (at least on this matter), and I agree with everything you’ve said.

  5. The Silver Age is lost and is FUBAR.

The Golden Age can at least be rehabilitated.

It Sucks. It's Not Fair. But at least there will be a sundowning and Maybe in a Decade the Competition will get so good that it FORCES This Crap to stop happening if they want to compete again

  6. I heard your stream the other day where some of your guests pretty much made fun of Ed Piskor. since i wasn´t well aware what was going on i stayed shut. but honestly after learning more on what went on, your guests were totally out of line, and are part of the reason why the comic industry is so awful. I think by now you must now the end of Ed´s story, i am not sure if he is guolty or not, but i am sure that so far there is no mention of real proof of him been guilty. please keep on talking of that shiutty industry that is now ñiterally killing artists instead of focus, iun case you really have, your love of comics on giving a spotlight to people who really love and make comics.

  7. Yeah, I really hate how "bisexual" in modern comics means "This character has dated the opposite sex for decades but now going forwards, they're just gay and will never be in a straight relationship ever again."

I can't keep bothering with crap like this

  8. Vote with your wallet and ignore this sh*t. The only way to save the Marvel Universe at this point, is a complete reset that undoes everything from the last 10 years, basically since Disney took over.

  10. Wasn't Felicia dating that wildcat or Ocelot whatever that guys name was? They are treating her like if she was a gold star lesbian or something. No man. No. She's likes the D. A lot.
