Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a game with a lot of strong classes that allow us players to live out a power fantasy on the battlefield. But there is one vocation which stands head and shoulders above the rest – and that is the Thief vocation.

Thieves have all of the benefits of a high damage-dealing class with almost none of the drawbacks:
-They’re super fast
-They deal insane damage
-They have great evasive maneuvers, including an automatic dodge built into their master ability
-They have two master abilities, while most other classes only have one. (Though to be fair, the second ability is kind of a joke.)
-And they are super easy to build

In this video, I’m going to show you how to do an unstoppable Thief build in Dragon’s Dogma 2. We’ll walk through the best abilities and augments, gear you should get, and much more.

  1. Blades of the Pyre + Formless Faint is actually the most busted ability combo, because you avoid the self-damage and just explode at will for massive damage and ragdoll knockback.

  2. I'm downloading this game right now while I'm at work and I'll be playing when I get home. The plan is to start as a Fighter with my Pawn as a Mage, all the while working to achieve the Mystic Spearman vocation and the best weapons and gear I can get in the early game.

But the Thief does look cool too so lets see if you can convince me to change plans.

EDIT: After watching this the Thief is definitely a really fun looking class to use but I think I'll be sticking to my current plan, though I do think I'll make sure to always hire at least one Thief Pawn from the Rift.

  3. The most "broken" would be mage archer.
Easy to use, easy high damage, easy stagger, easy support.

You don't have to think with this, just aim in the general direction of a weak point and shoot those magic arrows

Thief is easily the second best and is also way more fun

  4. People say formless faint is op but the stamina drain says other wise. I mean it’s good if your just doing normal attacks but if you like using skills a lot it completely washes your stamina
