I'm really enjoying my time in New World right now. No pressure to do anything except what I want and how I want. I also find that most times i'm going to a quest location I get distracted in the world and go off some entirely different direction due to gathering and discovering places. My only compliant right now is the weird computer fan revving out of the blue even though I have all settings at medium and fps capped at 30.
as for weapons, I can see some potential just with the pirates you go up against. One guy has shield and pistol, then you have one of the females dual wield two of the pistols. So I can see them giving previews of sorts of other potential weapons.
