Making some overdue upgrades to the base! – 7 Days to Die (Ep.9)

The Sepdiurnal Virus is rapidly changing and the Red Moon Phenomenon now occurs every single night… In this playthrough I’ll be spinning a wheel to determine the difficulty each day (aka viral mutation/evolution). 1. Really enjoying the varying zombie forecast stats! Have you thought about including this mod or feature in future series? I think it would be really immersive with a story playthrough like Darkness Falls and/or war of the walkers

  2. Hello hello! You can break the wall that is between each entrance ahead of the ladder like that it will help with the flow of zombies annd still leave you with your 3 ways stuff.

  3. Your base is too complex and they can't easily path to you so they beat on your blocks.
You have blind spots that you can't get in shots at them. A good base has total fire control over every zombie. The simplest bases work the best.
Stairs are always much better than ladders.

  4. Honestly, crafting blade traps and such is so expensive and rare drop consumptive I flat out dont, just raiding a few tier 5 poi main loots and praying for a bundle to drop. On the plus side iirc, they drop 10 at a time, so you only need to find one. Or buying from the traders when available.

  5. Great show Tem, but did you need to say that you were using an Israeli weapon. Suddenly I was thinking of the zombies being some completely other targets 🙁

  6. In this alpha I've surprisingly had to start farming cotton for cloth. It's the only way I could make enough duct tape for items and mods. I was waiting a week at a time to find enough cloth:( Farming works great!

  7. That mo power shack is one of my favorite places to set up a horde base. It works really well for spears as well. All you have to do is fortify the ladder that leads to the roof and you have a perfect vantage point to shoot/stab down on them. You can build a single blade trap with a repair hatch that handles all the dogs. It's already concrete, so it's early-game viable. And I've been able to handle night 42 horde just fine with it with very little block damage.

  8. I think you need to get rid of the stairs and add more rungs of ladders to allow for easier pathing. I use a 2×5 wall of blocks with 5 sets of ladders on the opposite side of the fighting position and the zombies barely touch the blocks and ladders. You could set up a 2 wide wall that spanned the width of the 2 outer positions, and would have 7 rungs of ladders all the way across. Keep it a block away from the outer walls of the fire station so zombies don't beat through the walls and fire station walls will save you from cop spit.

  9. The drop sends them into rage mode. Except at like 13-15 block drop they won't. I go 15 for my base just to be on the safe side and they don't damage anything they just go right back to pathing

  10. I noticed that when you throw down bombs or a molotov, they clip the block on either side of your door. Would it be possible to place upside down wedges there so you can throw more at an angle and not clip the block?

  11. Horde numbers increasing… I like your plans for the base and the construction so far. Love the montages, too. As if cutting the grass isn't a bad enough chore, here you are doing it underwater! 🤣 Good job not getting eaten by one of those dire wolves. 👍

  12. I been using the mod for the mower, you wouldnt believe how crazy fast it gets when you put the turbo mod on LOL.. Of course i had to add the fuel saver and extended tank mod. Plus 3 other mods for gathering. Whipping all over is fun on it. And im using it in Darkness Falls. Gathering potatoes is easy. Khaine should look into it LOL.

  13. With how much of the wall the zombies carved out, I'm a bit worried about potential stability issues. As such, I'd suggest first filling in the holes in the walls and then making them double-thick, You might also want to put some form of ramp/stair access into the oil pit so that animals and crawlers can get out of there without carving away at the base foundations.

Other than that, it was kinda crazy seeing the virus have back-to-back days of all-active X-factors. Hopefully not a foreshadowing of things to come, but this is 7Days we're talking about here.
