  1. To be honest, I still miss the mobility/flexibility we used to have. IMO this not a fun detachment, pretty much charge if you can, but no resources to facilitate those charges (vis stratagems/enhancements). If you are charged, then party over (no bonus, no fallback shoot and charge, etc. A very simplistic Detachment lacking synergies and tricks IMHO. I wish we had something like Storm lance detachment applicable to Jump Packs. Much more flexible and fun to play.

  2. Nice, basic good units, no shitshow in building list, compared to my poor ultramarines, but don't worry GW will ruin that.

GW already taught me not to spend any more money on them, just after the first 3 months into the hobby πŸ˜€ I'll wait 1-2 years and see if they do anything with those boring and weak space marines in half a year.

If not, then I'm out, never again will I buy a GW product. I prefer it at 1/4 of the price in lower quality, from China. If they cannot even write rules and balance it, why should I support them?

  3. Playing in a local League, and my Sons of Sanguinius win reate is 75% with this this list: CHARACTERS

Captain with Jump Pack, Warlord, Relic Shield and Thunder hammer, Enhancement: Artisan of War

Chaplain with Jump Pack, Crozius arcanum, Plasma pistol, Enhancement: Visage of Death

Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack, Enhancement: Icon of the Angel

    Techmarine

    The Sanguinor

    BATTLELINE

5 Assault Intercessors, sergeant with plasma pistol

    5 Intercessors, grenade launcher

    5 Intercessors, grenade launcher

    OTHER DATASHEETS

5 Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, 1 plasma pistol, Sergeant with Plasma pistol and Power fist

5 Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, 1 plasma pistol, Sergeant with Plasma pistol and Power fist

    Ballistus Dreadnought

Brutalis Dreadnought, Brutalis talons, twin multi-melta

5 Death Company Marine with Jump Pack, 4 Inferno pistols, 1 Plasma pistol, 5 Power fists

    5 Infernus Squad

Predator Annihilator, Hunter-killer missile, 2 Lascannon, Predator twin lascannon, Storm bolter

Stormraven Gunship, Hurricane bolters, Stormstrike missile launcher, Twin lascannon, Twin multi-melta

10x Vanguard Veteran with Jump Pack, Storm Shields

The Captain and Sanguinary Priest join the Vanguard Veterans. The Chaplain joins the death Company. Death Company and Brutalis go in the Stormraven in hover. Last game I played I won with 100 – 38 vs Deathwing. I had units on every main objective at the end of the game.

  4. Chain swords hitting S6 and getting +1AP with a SPriest is honestly brutal. Stacking dozens of those from single squads shreds things that would normally shrug them off. Add Red Rampage, and they're wounding so much.

  5. Gonna be a shame when they get nerfed because one of the best players itw does really well with them πŸ˜‚

Cant help but feel when GW do their meta watch that the top and bottom 10% of players should be excluded from win %. Be interesting to see how that changes things

  6. I did think the +2 STR wasn't that great initially until BA Commander had a look at the "break points" and realised in some cases it translates as +2 to wound against quite a lot of common targets. Like the humble chainsword goes from wounding T5 targets on a 5+ to a 3+ on the charge so assault intercessors suddenly get a lot more reliable into elite infantry there.
Also if you do have anything that gives +1 to wound (like Red Rampage strat or litany of hate on a Chaplain) that now stacks, so potentially +3 to wound on the charge effectively when selecting optimal targets. When doing that with DC power fists you're wounding T9 vehicles on a 2+ and T10 vehicles on 3+, with re-roll hits too.

  7. I was at RMO! It was my first ever tournament and I went 2 – 4 with CSM. Im happy enough with my score and I didn't give a loss up easily. I made everyone struggle to get their wins against me. Except for knight wardog spam though… I got crushed.

  8. If there isn't a list here using Lib dreads to throw centurions then I'm not interested 😀 guess I'll have to listen to the entire thing to make sure

  9. My big issue with Blood angels is now there detachment rule is kinda good. Enhancements and Stratagems are still lacking. The one that gives lance and lethal hits is by far the best to me, with the fallback and charge one also being good. With plus 2 strength and lance you have such a power boost. Add the lethal hits to just ignore wounds and you're doing quite a bit.

Then again I'm a Dark Angel player and seeing a supplement chapter having a decent detachment rule might be giving me some kind of bias.
