I don’t want to be negative, becuase I really love the idea of Digimon Con, but I will say that despite having REALLY low expectations I was still pretty dissapointed. At least we know they’re working on the Story game still.

Glad I won't need to watch it. I really wish there was a Digimon VR game or some type of monster VR game.
Then there is so much investment in AI, yet nobody wants to make a VR game about interactions and building relationships with characters as you go through a story.
I love how bandai has this monster franchise with a lot of fandom and theyre like "welp nothing with this is worth our time. Any new dragonball z fighter games we can produce instead?"
digimon con makes me sadder every year no new anime no new game been 7 years since last story game
I personally think it's the management, that's too conservative and doesn't want to try sth. new, which probably will lead to that the franchise will stay very niche or even dies out. Same with Dragonball. They could do so much more and interesting stuff with Dragonball but they make always the same stuff.
At least they acknowledged the new game's development, so not too disappointing.
(That soon better not be 7 more years please…)
I think Bandai should use Digimon as a basis for a Palworld inspired game. I mean, Digimon already have guns, and a larger studio behind a game like that could work in its favor.

I woke up at 4 am and wasted 3 hours in which I could have been sleeping, just to watch them talk about way too much stupid stuff. This Color Digivice is boring, only good thing was Liberator which looks nice.
Still they had the best opportunity to show us something about new games but decided to give us nothing, just a small phrase of "…will be shown soon".
Digimon Con gets more boring each time, very sad about it.
At this point i feel like we are begging, they can give us anything but we need something a remaster collection of digimon world 1-4 or of the ds story, a port of adventure psp, we need something
I was honestly hoping they'd announce some sort of project concluding the adventure series celebrating the 25th anniversary (like Kizuna and Tri back in 2015 and 2020 celebrating the 15th and 20th anniversary respectively). Honestly, Kizuna left more questions rather than answers back in 2020

I mean there is a huge argument that the gameplay ideas of Palmon fit a lot better in the Digimon universe. I mean, Digimon would work so well as a survival monster training game. (Where the player also can use weapons)
It was fun seeing ed at khans live stream. Ya i dont think they talked about the top theme just top 10 digimon from a combie 3 games.
Considering that Digimon only exists in the West as a video game franchise these days, yeah; Digimon Con was disappointing.
We don't get any merchandise, the Anime isn't even advertised over here and nothing else Digimon related even comes to mind. So yeah, at this point Digimon Con is really only for fans in JP.
Alas, I expected that. So I'm not super surprised. When they want us to know something about Digimon, they'll reach out. Somehow.
I know people were disappointed in the event as there wasn't much game news, and even I felt the English side of things wasn't handled well. Still, I had fun watching it and learning about what's coming up next. I'm a Digimon fan that gets excited for the TCG, and other projects going on in Digimon. Yes, I'd like to see more games, but there are other things to look forward to. While I understand Palworld has started a boom in monster-collecting games, you can't expect a company to have something ready after a game has only been out for a month. People are just expecting way too much. Those are just my thoughts, and I'm sure will see something soon. We just have to wait.

the card game was the only thing receiving updates and even that, Liberator is hidden away in their website, big marketing fail. Persona 3 put their webcomic on Webtoon to gather new players, a smart marketing tactic, meanwhile Digimon puts their webcomic in a website that most people don't visit or know it's existence.
Never seen such marketing incompetence for a franchise in my life, it's like they don't want new players or something like that.
And about new games, the new story game was announced when Survive was shown some gameplay after the dev studio switch, it's been like 2 or 3 years since that, the Story game was in development before that announcement and somehow they have no footage to show us? Unbelievable.
Finally Anime, the last original anime was Ghost Game which started airing in 2021 and finished airing in 2023, that was last year so maybe they didn't have time to make a new Anime yet, still what we had before that was Adventure remake that story wise was worse than the original and after that Adventure 2 sequel movie. No new Anime announcement for this year, not even a movie, no real teaser apart from a phrase saying "the adventure continues".

If they made a game where it is similar to Palworld where: You as the Tamer, going around with your Digimon, or Digimons, and fight alongside them or become them, in some cases like [Digimon Tamers] where they kinda become Digimon in their Mega Form, it'd be great… I wanna explore the Digital World and every other iteration of File Island or File World and just explore there. They could easily make their own version of Game that is kind of like Palworld… They truly missed out on this because they're so set in their ways. Like every other Japanese game.

It wasn't enjoyable on the video game front, but I did like the news involving the card game, especially with the online manga.

They didn’t leave us absolutely hanging they acknowledged it which is fine it’s still in development and I appreciate them letting us know they want to COOK
lets be honest the producer said He has “heard” its still in development and I kind of was like wtf do you mean you heard do you not work there? did they tell you in passing? have you not seen it? lol
Its like hearing oh yeah your co workers kinda of works and yet you never ever see them do anything lol.
I dont mind the singing its a great way to give us that nostalgia and I dont mind the toys and the card game announcements but for the love of god and all that is holy they need to give us a freaking game its been like 3 consecutive straight of them talking about the good old days of Cyber sleuth – Next order ( and now survive). They could have some B teams work on touching up World 1-3 or even give us an official english port of Redigitize but they refuse not to. smh hell port the story Ds or dawn and dusk shit. They have the tools.
I saw their survey and literally told them "more distribution globally outside of US and more games please".
Literally can't get most digimon products here in the UK and even ignoring that, the games (which are one of the few things you don't need to worry about getting physically) are something I doubt we'd get news in, but still wanted more than anything; even if its just a port of an older game.
When the con said "hey look, a new digivice" as excited as I was to see it, I know I'd never be able to order it. Especially since Premium Bandai likes to only focus on US and Asia. So the con ended up being a showcase for the TCG and stuff I can't have. (Yeah i'm a bit bitter, but with reason. I believe everyone should be able to get the merch from the con and not worry if it's a coin flip away. That and even using amazon sometimes the JP version will just refuse to ship overseas).
Sorry about the rant, I just love digimon and the lack of really anything, even the smallest crumbs feels disappointing. I'd even accept the original digivices from the show (always wanted a d-ark but they never released them where I live), I'm even considering the overpriced Ebay listings at this point. 🙁
As a card game fan, the Liberator section absolutely carried the Con for me.
Has digimon con ever not been disappointing? They say digimon is one of their flagship brands but I'm not feeling it. How do you not have a digimon anime for the 25th anniversary? Feeling pretty burnt as a digimon fan. Oh and the digivices are insanely expensive for what they are.

It's so weird to me that they almost never talk about games in these cons. Gaming is literally the most profitable form of media entertainment nowadays.
I'm not going to lie, this was a letdown, flat out. You would think for a 25th anniversary they would have shown us a game trailer, a still image or something.
I am now 100 % convinced the digimon company does not like the west. The only things that do come here are mandated by Bandai. They make exclusive games and content for the east. But we get port overs counting survive as a port over cuz they couldnt do english voice cast.and they couldn't even bother to do a real English broadcast and have the English voice actors.pokemon is boring but atlest pokemon is for Everyone.

A complete an utter let down in the game department it’s been 7 years since hackers memory the director sounded unsure what they were working on and than said please be more patient MY PATIENCE IS DONE ITS BEEN CLOSE TO A DECADE AND NOT AN OUNCE OF GAMEPLAY ☠️😭
