Why You Should Play Unicorn Overlord
#unicornoverlord #switch #vanillaware

Definitely getting it now! Great review!
I mean, stupid anime tits are a dime a dozen and I can take or leave them – it was the Rolf reference that sold me
I wasn’t interested in it before, but since you recommended the game I’ll try out the demo to feel it out.
The artwork looks cheap
Strategy game? It's a JRPG. Bad name? It's a JRPG!
No pc lol, lmao even
its Vanillaware, i had the collectors edition per-ordered at announcement, I just wish they would port things to PC, because their back catalogue is nothing but gems, even if Dragon's Crown wasn't to my tastes
Looks like that combat is an auto battler.
Just lead units next to each other and the game does the rest.
That’s not my idea of fun.
I get you set things up before hand. But the game,as the videos I’ve seen seem to show, looks like an auto battler.
I find those boring AF very quickly
i heard the localization fucking sucks tho… is that true?
The demo ends too soon I can’t get the knightblade cornix lol
I wish Vanillaware/Atlus stopped ignoring the PC market though, would have loved to play this game
FIRE EMBLEM COULD NEVER
The bait and switch with Fire Emblem at the beginning almost made me burst out laughing at work… That was close.
Srpg's are my favorite genre. RTS on the other hand I hate. This game seels to be a blend of the 2 genres. I might just love it from what I see.
Take a shot every time this guy or any other reviewer says Fire Emblem. We get it, you played THE other game.
If you think Unicorn Overlord as a name is generic/bad then allow me to introduce you to Triangle Strategy 😂
This game is similar to an older game call ogre battle. That's where the game gets very similar design.
I recently got burnt out with FE after a Sacred Stones playthrough. After seeing the stream for this game I was a little interested but wasn't sure since, I have plenty of games in my library to play. I got the demo today and it was so much fun to actually play it. I cannot wait to see all they have in store. Figured I would play it alongside your playthrough of the game.
13 sentinels took my ass by surprise and made me remember this studios name now this game just speaks to me as someone who loves Tactical RPGs. a year and a few months after Fire emblem engage too
so Happy people are talking about this game
I was able to play the demo for 30 hours by save swimming. (Saving before cutscenes, watching them, then reload and skip. Thank you Vanillaware. You've given me so much time killing for free.
I decided to play it nude. Entire thing. Cheeks clapping
I would say the gameplay of Unicorn Overlord is more similar to Ogre Battle. You should play the N64 Ogre Battle!
Looks extremely mediocre in every possible way for a 60$ game
Easiest pass until it becomes 30$
I think you are amiss assuming that the difficulty of the first chapter will come through the whole game. Plenty of games have an easy first chapter to get you started and then there is a difficulty spike.
The localization issue is a non-issue. The game is set in a fantasy setting akin to a historical period. Japanese's history does follow the same arc of history, so using modern language in that version makes sense. The localization to English has adapted that language to be more like the historical period this game is drawing from. Therefore, the adaption of language is a good thing here not a problem. The meaning from the Japan text is not drastically changed. Also the guy raising the issue is assuming that the adaptions are done without the script writers intent. For all we know the script may have been written in English and then translated back to Japanese.
This game is awesome. I will pour hours into it. Thank you for your coverage!
unicorn ogrelord 🙇
The graphics and the battles kinda remind me of Grand Kingdom, a not very known game that also focus on strategy and building your own party from scratch, unluckily a few time ago the servers shut down and while you can still play the campaign it lost a lot of his main focus. But i still find it fun to play sometimes
speed run to beat the game on demo possible? also please for the love of god vanillaware please port to PC somehow. steam port muramasa, i would buy 4 copies of dragons crown to give others to freinds to play together. PLEASE!
Vanillaware never makes a bad game
The translation does make me flinch. It was a bad translation that kept me far away from Fire Emblem Engage (now patched thankfully) and the previous vanillaware game, 13 Sentinels. Looking at the translation examples it does change the character's personality and sometimes the context of dialogue. It's not Engage bad but still not good.
Absolutely wild to hear people always compare this to FE. It's Ogre Battle, not FE.
I want this game for pc
But it looks like it won't be coming to the pc. 😢😢
Downloaded the demo the day it was released but I downloaded a bunch of other demos that day and I think my lack of attention made me think "this isn't for me". Queue to loads of videos praising the game but this video made me download the demo again. New opinion "ah fuck, I want this game"
Game is more like ogre tactics, langrisser, and symphony of war rather than fire emblem
i think the name sounds hard as fuck.
14 seconds in reminded me of why I stay subscribed to this channel thank you for making me almost spit my food out laughing so hard.
