A single-engine plane crashed in a residential area of Bellevue around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Two people were on the Cirrus SR-22 at the time and suffered no injuries, according to the Bellevue Fire Department (BFD). They were able to climb out of the plane when it landed.
According to the Bellevue Police Department, a parachute was deployed, appearing to slow the plane during the crash. The plane ended up in a wooded area near a residential neighborhood.

Well, unfortunately the folk in Ontario weren't so lucky.
They ought to make parachutes mandatory equipment for small planes. If they could be set up for jet planes, that would be a plus. It might take two for a plane that size.
Company is definitely getting some free advertising from this mishap.
I have never heard or seen a plane with a parachute! šŖ
So happy no one was hurt, a miracle. The young girl āI was just eating some Mac and cheeseā š„°
Thank you King 5.
I almost dropped my hot pocket……
Insurance company has the airplane nowš
Cause of engine failure? Reason they couldn't glide to a safe spot, reason they decided to pull the chute? Any information whatsoever other than a plane's chute was pulled and some random anecdotes of what some people were doing around? Eating Mac n cheese? Riveting.
āTHE PLANEā is most likely a Cirrus. Made in Duluth MN, and EVERY one of their products comes with a parachute, because things happen, and planes crash, but NOT THEIR planes.
You can walk away from almost every landing, even bad ones.
Not sure, but I think they are literally the safest plane ever made.
Sad that the news didnāt give them any props. If it crashed and people died, they would have said what kind of plane it was.
Now I want mac and cheese but I JUST got back from the grocery store and didn't grab any. Grrrr.
so we don't block profanity now?
Can we please get more information on the Mac n Cheese? Was it Kraft? Was it the original, three cheese, spirals?? C'mon King 5, do better.
ntsb didnāt come to investigate?
I think all single engine planes and even twin engines should have to have parachute leave the heavy crap at home
Thereās a hell of a lot of small planes going down pay attention folks
