At least they removed the real-time upgrade selection system. Maybe I should give this game another chance.
I was sold by the title
It's not beep beep I'm not a jeep it's "Beep beep I'm a sheep." A VERY old meem.
Love the background music !
Haven't watched the full video yet, have to go to work soon. But I saw an upgrade called Ryuujin's Aura so I think I know what I have to go for if I get this.
Beep beep, who’s got the keys to the Jeep. Vroom vroom. Pretty sure it’s a lyric from Missy Elliot from way back in the day
I'm really into checking out damage stats and stuff like that in games like this. So could you give me one second so I can pause real quick when you come to a Stat screen? That way I have time and don't gotta rewind and pause? If not then I get it. Just figured I'd ask.
Only game that comes to mind for slotting abilities into each other would be Bio prototype which you've played before. Can add AOE attacks into AOE attacks and make for some wild combos.
I remember playing this demo when it first came out on Steam. It's an interesting idea but i think it's a wasted effort trying to make the car more than just a mobility tool. I always felt bad when i was forced to put levels into car "weapons" instead of actually buffing my character that was doing all the work.
Also, the celestials are really bland unless you heavily invest into only 1 or at max 2 of them. They fall behind in scaling way too quickly compared to your characters main skills and/or general upgrades (HP/Atk dmg/crit/move speed).
Wander talking about 70°C being probably close to lethal weather… We got over 50°C here and it was bad enough. No, thank you!
I totally agree with how we need a Transistor system in these roguelikes. The game was great and that system was so fun. It would really fit well in these bullet heavens!
There’s that old Nintendo game where you play a disembodied samurai head in a side scrolling shooter and I gotta believe that’s a reference there cause it’s just so random
UPDATE: apparently the below is completely false, the piece is actually about border violence, and the hydraulic fluid story is made up. Still pretty evocative.
OG Post:
re: machines that bleed, there was actually a modern art installation at the Guggenheim a few years ago called 'I can't help myself' in which a robotic arm with a sweeper on it was programmed to try and sweep up the viscous red dyed hydraulic fluid it used to stay in motion back inside of itself in order to prevent it's 'death'. It lasted ~ 3 years running 24/7 until it could no longer move, shook a lot, and then 'died.'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS4Bpr2BgnE
"this robot was made as an art display, in a cage like box. The red is hydraulic fluid which the robot uses too move. The creator made the machine too leak since new, spilling on the floor. They programmed the robot too drag the fluid back too itself which is picked back up by a pump and ran back into the robot. It took 3 years for the robot too break down running 24/7, dragging its hydraulic fluid back too itself so it can keep running.
Over the 3 years, the fluid got thicker, the machine started too struggle, wear out leaking more and more. It shuttered and shook until it was finally defeated."
Looks fun, for about $6? Sold.
