The family of a beloved mail carrier, described as a devoted father and entrepreneur, is in mourning after he was shot and killed Sunday night along I-55. Damian Dunning was identified by his family as the man shot and killed in his vehicle late Sunday night on the Stevenson Expressway ramp to DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Illinois State Police said they responded to the northbound Stevenson ramp just after 10:20 p.m. Sunday to the report of an expressway shooting. Police say the gunfire could be heard near I-55 and Lake Shore Drive.
