Over 100 thought killed in Gaza aid queue after Israel opens fire on civilians

“The Israelis have admitted that some of their soldiers did open-fire.”
“But they’ve also said some of those people died either as a result of those trucks running them over or as a result of a stampede.”
“All of these things could be true.”

Sky News’ Alistair Bunkell reports live from Jerusalem as over 100 people are thought to have been killed while queuing for aid in Gaza.

The catastrophe happened when a convoy of 30 aid trucks passed through an Israeli checkpoint at about 4am local time (2am UK time).

Palestinians, many of whom have struggled for food and medicines since the war began in October, began running towards the aid truck convoy, according to Israel.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner said that some civilians came close to the Israeli checkpoint, at which point soldiers fired some warning shots, the BBC reported.

Lt Col Lerner said that the soldiers feared for their safety and shot at them. He called this a “limited response”.

  1. The IDF continue to commit atrocities and continue to say they are 'investigating'. When are they going to publish the results to these apparent investigations – which run into the hundreds now. Or do they think we will forget, or do they think they can desensitise us by committing so many? They still haven't provided any evidence that UNRWA staff were involved in the 7 Oct attacks?!!

  2. Everything is so unclear when the IOF commits literal massacres… when it's the other way round somehow we have "hard evidence" every time which then slowly erodes. Problem is by the time that hard evidence is debunked, the deed – is done.

  3. I do not understand those who demand the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza who are not subjected to any torture and ignore the Palestinian hostages in Israeli occupation prisons who are subjected to all forms of torture

  4. NO!! Not over 100:died but KILLED….And yet the still REFUSE to call this a terrorist act, you can imagine what the west (and this LBC presenter) would have said if it was the Palestinians that did this to innocent hungry Israelis.
The IDF are investigating itself and of course the west and this LBC presenter will just go along with its findings "We investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong".

  5. Every Democratic or undecided voter who does not withdraw their vote for Biden until his support for Israel ends has Palestinian blood on their hands. Unfortunately, this is the only form of protest that the American president will understand.

  6. We already know Tom's one sided views on this subject and his so called one sided investigative journalism from previous reporing of war crimes committed by Israel. He view point is Israel has the right to defend itself. So Tom you half wit, why not say it now. Nothing to say now Tom? LBC needs to sack him or ask him to move to talk tv where his intelligence level would be more suited.

  7. The US officials can’t utter a single word or statement until they get permission from their Israeli masters. The same applies to the British officials and many Europeans, not to mention the corrupt Arab and Muslim leaders.
