We have been waiting years for a plastic and (affordable) version of the Solar Auxilia to drop and it’s finally here! @officialwarhammer sent me over the new Solar Auxilia Battle Group box early to paint up and review and I got straight into it with this Dracosan Heavy Transport tank! I struggled a bit with Solar Auxilia schemes, and ended up going for one similar to my Krieg tanks, but with the extra splash of colour at the front of the tank. I’m really happy with the result, and maybe now I’ll finally have the courage to paint my older Forgeworld versions too! Let me know what you think of the scheme, and if you think it will work for the infantry as well! What else would you like to see painted from the box set?

It’s such a shame they didn’t make this legal for 40K. It would fill a real gap, looks great – but I’m not in the market for a Heresy army. I heard the reason they keep pushing back against multi-use units is internal battles: the 40K team doesn’t want sales in the Heresy account. But it would be great for GW – more sales per SKU! So frustrating and obviously affecting Old World / AoS as well.

Yes!!! I’m so happy solar auxilia came to plastic! I have about 500 points worth of the resin kits and I’m so glad that I don’t to spend an arm and a legs worth of $$ on them!! 😅😅

Another great video Andy, just curious what size needle is that airbrush and what pressure do you generally spray with?
I'm super excited for the Solar Auxilia box, If you're having trouble with the paint scheme for the troops why not paint them to match the Imperial fists so it's like a squad Dorn hand picked to aid in fortifying terra

I’m really liking the solar auxilia leman russ, I think I might start adding them into the traitor guard instead of the standard one. And of course once again stellar job you did with this one and it definitely looks better in a more militaristic paint scheme well done Andy. I would like to see the sentinel done but also that leman russ 🙂

I'd like to see you take on some more of the plastics from the Solar Auxilia battlegroup box, but honestly, once you have a scheme down for them, if you have an entire resin Solar Auxilia army sitting in boxes then that's what I want to see you paint. It's a tragedy to let something like that go unused, especially given the expense.
Would love to see some colour schemes for the infantry. Right now everything but the tanks feels like a complete miss.

I always loved Solar Aucilia but I was priced out of buying them. Looking forward to more content of them. I always wondered how tanks would look on bases. You could make some great scenic bases for them so they're all their own mini diorama

Grest colour sheme. I have the similar idea of using it for my krieg army. I guess the SA infantry are some special Krieg engineers who got some really nasty chemical weapons and needed a better armor suit to protect them against it.
