In some circles, I am known as a Fountain Pen Sith Lord. I feel it is appropriate to leave this here: "Good, Good, Let the ink flow through you." 😁🤣
Very interesting. You make me want to try a fountain pen. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💛
Congratulations on falling into the fountain pen rabbithole, we are a friendly bunch down here but you may have trouble getting back out :), couple of things I would suggest, the cheap chinese pens are all over the place when it comes to quality control and I have found that quite often I get dust and debris in the nibs and feeds, it can really help you get more consistent results if you fill the pen with a couple of fills of pen flush before you ink it up. This has the effect of cleaning out the nib, feed and collector and priming the pen ready for ink. Also with the chinese nibs they tend to be finer than a western nib, so a chines fine would be the equivalent of a western extra fine and a chinese medium the equivalent of a wester fine. This can make the nibs seem a bit dry depending on the ink you use but if you avoid anything with glitter in it in these fine nibs (like the diamine shimmer inks) then you shouldnt have any issues with the pens clogging up. I have found that waterman inks behave very well in this sort of pen and they are nice and cheap as well.
