The road to the Waorani tribe through the dangerous jungle

Dmitry Komarov has a unique interview in which Guinto will share memories of his tribe’s first contact with civilization. He will remember how he first saw an airplane, which tribesmen threw spears at him, mistaking it for an “oremoe”, which means “monster” or “ghost” in tribal language, will tell how he felt at that moment and how he learned at 20 that there were other people in the world besides his people. In addition, Guinto will share why the contact Waorani are trying to assert their right to blood feuds, lynching, and murder in contemporary Ecuador.

About World Inside Out:
Dmytro Komarov is famous Ukrainian TV host and author of “The World Inside Out” alongside with Ukrainian filmmaker Oleksandr Dmytriev travel to countries that are not usually visited by tourist tours.
They manage to go to places where a man has never set a foot. Dmytro himself creates the route, learns the features of the new place in advance and tries to survive on his own in the practical primitive conditions. But the real thing is that he is actually trying to get used to the role of the natives, not just like a stranger but as part of the team, actively trying new crafts and ways of getting food, learning the local traditions and laws.
Dmytro and Oleksandr have visited more than 20 countries, and without a doubt these were not passing journeys but thorough cultural studies.
