No it's very rare to have bad mothers to this extent. Kids these days think all movies are based on a true story. Compared to women, men are the bigger danger to children all over the world. But these movie is still pretty cool.
There are tv shows in my country about this type of case too. The mother made her son sick by giving some sort of medicine and claim that he has cancer. Then, she made his son viral in social media to get attention of people and to try get sympathy of people to buy her products. She started doing all that because she wants to get her ex-husband attention. The boy really doesn't know what kind of sickness he has as the mother has been manipulating him since young. As he grew up and seeing more people, he start to suspect his mother. He got online friends and ask for their help. It's quite an interesting story. I really wonder what kind of stimulating a MOTHER try to kill her own child. Even a cat would be depressed if her own kitten dies why would a human be such a beast.
These are the best! I get more out of these "recaps" than watching the movie. But I do watch some of them. Mostly this is to catch up with those who ask "remember on such movie when so and so did X?" I no longer have to say "uh no" I can just get the better than Cliff Notes version here. Thank you!
