Death Valley is the hottest and driest place on earth. Although it’s known for its harsh and barren salt flats, there’s now a colossal lake. The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for water sports in Death Valley is the result of recent historic rainfall that brought back to life an ancient lake. Park ranger Nichole Andler says she’s never seen so many people visit the remote location. Inside Edition’s Jim Moret has more.

  1. No one could pay me to go to Antarctica or Death Valley. I prefer warm climates, but the heat in that desert is just too much. Since it's February, I'm guessing it wasn't too hot the day those tourists went kayaking and paddle boarding.
