Anne did everything she was supposed to as a wife. But you have to look at how she got to where she did.
Henry was a jerk of all jerks after his injury. Which still happens today. It’s just a terrible terrible host of terrible things. It’s crazy how human they all seem nowadays. Idk how I feel about everything….
It was happy, then hectic, happy and hectic…it must’ve been like a roller coaster back then.
Yeah right. Boleyn was indeed schooled in the arts of the courtesan owing to her apprenticeship in the French court.
But unlike Catherine of Aragon she was not born and bred to fulfill the role of queen. That deficit in Boleyn helped precipitate her demise.
She made enemies at court and her adultery with the King did not endear her with his subjects.
I'm certain if women were not able to give birth to sons, they would have been dispatched centuries ago. Indeed even in this modern age, women, girls and female infants are constantly punished and even killed for the crime of being the "wrong gender"… Misogyny is a shape shifter but it doesn't alter the fact, that's it's still as rampant as it ever was. I doubt that many women even today, have the luxury of a day going by, without being reminded of that gynophobic ideology.

I believe Henry and Anne manipulated each other equally. Henry for a son, and Anne for a crown and power, but both were in lust – not love. Katherine of Aragon was the woman who truly loved Henry.

Anne Boleyn didn't deserve the death she got. Yes, she got King Henry 8th to divorce Queen Katherine and marry her. It didn't end well for her did it. He had affairs, and when she didn't give him the son he wanted he turned his back on her.He decided she wasn't his wife, and she was accused of committing adultry. She couldn't have done that surrounded by her ladies in waiting most of the time.
#1 who the hell did the hair of the person who narrated this? She looked like Shirley Temple on crack. That person should be fired. That being said, she did a good job narrating…if they hadn't shown her ringlets covering her very intelligent face so much, I wouldn't have commented on that. good documentary otherwise but I am very distracted by visual "noise" and that was so distracting. Every time they cut to the narrator and I saw this long ringlet basically flying into her mouth. And I am a play director and minor film maker so it may make biased..she is a very good narrator, I just thing the visual editing around her was poorly done to the point of distraction
