Nemesis in the remake is just annoying, a boss lying around and too tanky especially on inferno. Mr X in Re2 remake is too slow and easy to dodge. Lady D had little screen time. If they decide to add a new stalker enemy they should find the perfect balance finally, because tbh the stalker type of enemy kinda sucks and frustrates me at times
Fun fact, Alot of the Nemesis remake stalking can be skipped if you go though the apts instead of plaza with him mutating the Zombie
Jack was definitely the scariest for me. It wasent until I finally took him down that I finally felt safe…ish…

They need to bring RE2 RE3 originals to new gen consoles ASAP.
I'm hoping RE1 remake! remake! releases before RE5 remake (due to us seeing weskers story appearance in Ada Wong DLC) would make more sense to release before 5.
And release 2 and 3 on RE1 remake remake as bonus content.

OG Nemesis only has the rocket launcher, which was scary and devastating enough. No flamethrower, like in the remake.
If the creature in question makes you actually plan alternate routes to avoid them, and it almost changes randomly, then they are stalkers, and are very good at it.

The sheer dread from hearing Mr X's footsteps knowing he's nearby makes for a well deserved top spot.

I've been soaking up all of your videos recently. Great stuff. I agree with most of the lists besides stuff involving 7 or 8 because I simply haven't played them. But I definitely agree with the top 2 here.
First playthroughs of RE2 remake were so unnerving and I truly felt like I was running for my life once Mr. X showed up. Getting lost and turned around in the station with his presence ever looming was terrifying while frantically figuring out where to go was top-tier gameplay.
I was a little bummed about RE3 remake and Nemesis in some aspects but I tgink it was still a good game. Not a perfect remake, but a good game.
Pretty solid list, but i'm gonna change 2020 nemesis to where Lady D is. Honestly i feel her height was her biggest flaw, she can't even go half the places Mr.X or Nemesis can due to that. What a waste of a stalker enemy and the castle too felt half used due to her stature.
OG Nemesis will always be number 1
the Jack jumpscare in the bathroom is on standard difficulty, in mad house this doesn't happen.
Mr. X Remake at #1 is totally reasonable since he really is a constant threat roaming around. #2 sould be Jack for me, especially on madhouse.
i never got the hype from OG Nemesis since he is completely scripted and easy beatable with a button decision a lot of the times

Mr. X never scared me in both original and remake whereas nemeis in re3 original had me turn off ps1 console to take horror breaks from him and hunter betas which i was killed a LOT more than entire re 2 remake

great video as always and I hope that in resident evil 9 they give a us a stalker through all the game not just like lady dimitrescu that follows in one section in the game and make him fell like mister X and make him fell more anxiety and of course terrificante

re2 remaster being my first re game, and first horror type game, caused Mr. X to give me nightmaressss. Will never forget the adrenaline from hearing his loud ahh stomps.
They gotta switch up the formula for the next game. The stalker character has become predictable now.
Great list. All the pointbyou mad are valid. Nemisis from OG RE3 is my favorite, but Mr.X from Re2 Remake scarred the hell out of me.
Mr. X from RE2 Remake and Nemesis from the original RE3 are the only two who gave me actual nightmares.
As the Yoda of resident evil (well the og games and spin-offs up till 4) Mr.X was always my favorite. The original plain bald smooth headed version. Though I played re3 wayyyyy more and actually liked it more than 2, X was like Jason. Just lumbered to you. Not reacting to handgun rounds. Showing no pain. And had the dreaded over hear 2 handed smoosh. Nemmy showed reactions. Ran. Acted like a kid sometimes. And still with the remakes, X is way more terrifying, yet I played remake of the 3rd more. And I think it’s why I enjoyed operation raccoon so much. They brought back multiple Mr X’s (also you could sorta throw the hunters in the mix of stalkers from the first. They sorta followed from room to room(ish)
What about the girl from revelations???? You encounter her like 3 times so she should at least be like 8
Leech Man from outbreak File 1 isnt on this list? Him shuffling through vents and following you into cramped rooms led to some stressful moments. And being able to bait him with blood packs too keep him busy for a short amount of time was a great touch. He also is definatly more of a stalker enemy than Lisa Trevor is.
Good video as always. If Re3 Remake was as well made as Re4 and 2 remake it could have been the best remake so far.
