Sometime between version 0.1 and 0.5 Crema changed their behavior. It started from being very open and transparent to less and less communicative to almost being tone deaf. I remember a bug in the mines (3rd map), which caused players to get stuck between a wall and a tamer NPC. This bug was present for months. People (I saw at least one stuck post each and every day) had to write a ticket in the forum or had to ask in the Discord for help. Either a statt member had to manually unstuck them or other people had to come up with solutions. I wrote an post on the forum talking about the issue and asking them, why they just simply move that NPC away/disable the fight against, which caused getting stuck in the first place. I can not remember what the exactly answer was. But at the end they decided to wait for the next big content update to fix that issue. Just. Imagine. Keeping a game breaking bug around which causes frustration for players and needing a statt member dedicated to manually help players.
When they said, they want to shut down the forum to limit communication to the Discord, it was mind blowing (in a very negative way). So many questionable decisions, and they kept defending it. Suffice to say, Crema lost touch with their community long ago.
I will never support another game of this company anymore. No matter what they do.
Your videos have made me want to buy Temtem, but their lack of offline mode stopped that in its tracks.
I don’t have a horse in this race but I do find it to be a fascinating reflection of the normal gamer stance “the word of the devs is immutable law”
think about how literally anytime someone even hints that dark souls could have an easy mode, people pour out of the woodwork to proclaim the holy will of the devs who say “nah probably won’t do that”
And yet here we have the reverse the gamers say we want the thing and the devs say “ nah probably not going to do that” and in this instance they are bad guys.
Humans are such interesting beings aren’t we.
Haven't stopped focusing on temtem? is it April 1st? out of all live service games I play it is almost the worst one in terms of updates if not the worst. Also saying we can't expect infinite content on a LIVE service game is stupid so many out of touch ceos. But most of us just want the game to be more fun and stuff like an offline mode, I bet so many people haven't even finished the game because of how grindy it is
I stopped playing because of the excesive grinding, but wouldn't mind to return if they did an offline mode with less grinding. Heck, I'd even buy paid DLC, I enjoyed Temtem until it was too much grinding in order to progress.
To think all this drama could be avoided if they just made an offline experience game.
I don't know why small indies think they can make an MMO. Hopefully they make an offline update if the servers shut down.
Infinite content? I'm infinitely facepalming at that.
I remember last year posting a criticism on their face page for the lack of new content like they promised during kickstarter phase with new islands and temtem i got insulted amongst other people. Truly weirdest PR reminds me of Amy's baking company.
What a jerky thing to say. Shame, I was hoping to get the switch version, but not if this is how the devs of this incomplete game act.
CEO is an absolute cry baby. Holy shit.
i enjoy temtem but in game currency is basically useless unless you grind out that temtem release thing, and that can sometimes lead to extra grind you dont need, especially if they are claiming its not an mmo
Oh, who could have seen this happening…Temtem's CEO should have seen it happening.
Also, they complain about fans wanting infinite content, yet they made an entirely new game?
If they'd taken that time and effort that went into Swarm, put it into the original game, and addressed some of the bigger, more pressing issues from fans, none of this backlash would be happening right now.
Hell, we could be talking about Temtem right now the same way everyone's talking about Palworld. But we're not.
woah it seems like these people really dont mind being unprofessional and quite rude to their customers. its not the first time i see such news about them. kinda glad i was just never interested in temtem.
I think that is a bit unfair to say from the CEO. I think constant updates is a TON of work, even for the biggest of studios with the resources to handle it. I will say this for Temtem and other small studios: Be realistic with the scope and kinds of games you want to make in relation to the resources your team has. It isn't on the consumer that you decided to make an MMO when you don't have the resources to keep up with it. I think it would be better to make a solid base game and slowly add content instead of making a grindy MMO with shallow gameplay. This is the issue I have with live service games and early access. It is such an unstable dev cycle with an air of uncertainty and leading players through roadmaps that aren't guaranteed.
Dude mad an mmo which had like one update then gets mad when folks want more 💀
Palword does what temtem doesn’t
Just DONT play and buy games made by Crema. They dont respect their customers.
They've been censoring people a ton after saying tone-deaf and frankly trolling comments to our concerns. Now the subreddit mods have closed the subreddit for the time being. I will not be giving Crema another cent of my money.
Bruh, i thought this game got canned on release🤣. The fact that they're still going and are treating the little amounts of fans/ players like shit feels like they just don't want any future content to be well received.
I mean MMO usually means a lot of content, expansions and new areas so the game doesn't stagnate. No matter what they say, its a single player game with online services. MMO's are games like ESO, WoW, and FF14. They are meant to last for awhile or in WoW's case milk it bone dry.
Paid DLC is fine, Would buy… I also support the offline mode argument.
sports chant offline temtem! Clap clap clap clap clap
Unfortunately this is the main reason i refused to buy Tem Tem alongside some friends asking for me to do so.
In monster catching games specifically i'd like to have my own time offline developing my creatures or focusing on it's story and then worry about battling others whenever I feel like it.
Even Pokemon itself has grasped this concept.
They have no idea how to make MMO. core gameplay is good in temtem but how the heck people gonna play the game if only content is running circles in same bush hours and hours.
