SpaceX’s Mars Plan is something we all want to see become reality. But what will it really take for a Mars human mission? We are all very excited to see the continuing development of SpaceX’s Starship and the new momentum for Starbase 2’s construction over at Cape Canaveral. We are still some way off seeing this system in full swing, however, in the grand scheme of things it won’t be long before we are witnessing not just orbital Starship launches, but crewed Starship missions that will take humanity back to the surface of the moon, on even longer duration deep space flights, and eventually out to Mars and beyond. But first, I’m sure you have a whole host of questions regarding how exactly humans can survive long duration spaceflight, and in this video we are looking at exactly that.

  1. the DUST problem encountered on the moon, will have to be sorted first, spacesuits must be made on the craft it cannot be brought with the men going to mars…. jb

We are far of one humanity Who can work for real into the space, but When the firsts enormous problèms Will be won,the fun part Will Begin,the next new step of évolution Will open so Much of jobs, the New field of acquisition Will be vaster than what we have known with the steamtrain,and the steamboat. I hope that They Will be capable to exploit the asteroid belt for the years 2100.

    Impossible to go to Mars 🚩 here's why
    NO SUCH THING AS PLANETS GALAXIES OR UNIVERSES ONLY SUN MOON AND STAR'S NO SUCH THING AS GRAVITY OR BLACK HOLES ROCKETS CAN ONLY GO 73 MILES HIGH AND STOP GOD'S FIRMANT NOTHING CAN PENETRATE HUBBLE AND WEBB STILL CAN'T GIVE US ONE LIVE PICTURE OF EARTH ONLY PAINTING'S AND COMPUTER GRAPHICS

  6. Really good video Marcus House! I wonder what effect a refrigerator magnet has on solar and space radiation. Would there be any benefit in turning the entire space ship into a solar powered solenoid type electro-magnet ? Could you work under an electro magnet umbrella on the surface of Mars and thus avoid; cell damaging, radiation bombardment?

  8. I’ve been thinking of a small solution for low gravity health side effects. A small onboard rotational cylinder that would create artificial centrifical gravity (for 1 person) each astronaut could spend a hour in every 12 hrs a 6 feet in circumference pod attached to the space station or be attached to any rocket going towards Mars

  9. As for the effects of. 3g, the simple answer is that while we can extrapolate a suspected outcome, we simply don't know what effect it will have. We have 20+ years of data on zero g/micro gravity/free fall, but none on .3g. There has never been a sustained test of it as it would require a on orbit structure tethered and spun up to the required velocity.

  10. Maybe, just maybe, we need to figure out how to survive the Van Allen belt first. Literally no one has a sound answer how to do that, we just pretend it's not one of, if not the, pressing challenge in this endeavor.

  11. What is the profit model for going to Mars? Seems like even if the rockets exist somebody needs to pay SpaceX to launch them. Who is the client? What if government doesn't decide to foot the bill? Currently SpaceX makes money by putting satellites into orbit and the profit model on satellites is well established. I'm curious how going to Mars will be profitable. I'm assuming world governments will indeed foot the bill though when the time comes.

  12. You failed to mention how robots would need to arrive first and build habitats first which would take years. Sending humans to an unprotected surface on Mars is a death sentence and it will never happen that way. There would be no way home without a launch pad.

  13. An ocean tanker full of water and another full of food would certainly be of great help. Plus a few small heifers complete with oxygen masks for 'roaming on the red plains of Mars' would be greatly appreciated. Also, don't forget to include an armada of UFOs full of aliens to aid in the processing of sheep and cattle when the harvest time is right. According to scientists in the field, they are the 'go to' experts in this area of animal husbandry.

    Because Mars needs ,
    a magnetic field , and
    giving Mars a new moon will do that .
    How to get Ceres into orbit around Mars .?
    That is my question to You .

    Video about this , It will
    start other people to think about this idea
    themselves.

  15. Why not travel to and from Mars in a hollowed out asteroid (an O’Neil Cylinder)2 to 3 times the area of Starship 3.0? Then concerns for living space will be nullified, and so too will debilitating fears about solar flares and cosmic rays whilst in transit.
