Too bad every indication on my server says that this isn't actually happening at all lol. Ran Genesis and Lazarus last night with a crew of everyone capped at 591, not a single piece of gear higher than that dropped. In fact, most named mobs in Lazarus dropped nothing at all. This system would be nice, too bad it doesn't exist
I feel like they dont know their own game or none of their systems work as planned. They claim one thing and write one, sometimes two different things from two different devs and players through trial and error sees something completely different.
He plainly calls out "item find" gear to "give yourself an edge in the search for better gear ". Without saying it specifically. I didnt want to post this to the official forums.. Let them sweat it out..
Pretty sure 64+ means a 64 won't drop it. Depends on who says it, I find some people word things in a not exactly clear way. So we need to kill mobs that are atleast 65 I assume.
not a fan of HWM system, it robbed the joy and excitement of good rare item dropped, its more like "ive grinded my GS, its just about time", the power up is not even noticeable at that point.
I wanted to let you know there is an achievement that you need to equip a 650 gs item so I belive they will increase it when the majority hit 600 or they have a release date for it? Idk
I wonder how often a higher gear score item is supposed to be an upgrade though. I'm only recently 60 (maybe 2 /played since), and my tanking total gear score is showing like 475. (Don't know what my dps gear rates, as I solo in mostly tanking gear.) The stuff in the elite areas I've been doing has gotten up to about 505 average drops, but pretty much everything I've seen so far hasn't been worth replacing my purples of much lower gear score. I even have some green armor pieces because they are better stats. (Still around that 475 range.)
Am I really supposed to be replacing my tanking gear with +con with greens without con that only show a +20 armor rating increase? The DPS (Strength) drops I've seen may be higher gear score, but they are green, and not higher Str. Or are higher gear score drops that are worth actually equipping indeed very rare?
The gear score system is garbage. It's a system to keep people playing the game and that's it. Unlike other games where you do raids or dungeons to get better gear NW requires you to mindlessly farm trash to get better gear. Every day you have to grind the same trash filling up your bags playing the inventory management game. Rinse and repeat. It's terrible and is only put in place to keep users playing. They should let us sell the trash loot because constantly fighting being capped on repair parts just turns into dumping shit on the ground. What a terrible system.
Imo this system is so stupid, I see what their trying to go for but just base it off RNG which would make each drop feel even more special. To get that rolled 600 fighting whatever would feel like winning the lotto vs grinding the same shit over and over just to get the best items in the game just seems so corny to me.

It's great to know exactly how it's suppose to work. Not 100% sure that it's actually working completely as intended though.

can you eleaborate on what you mean at the end there on getting stonecutting up and everyone having access to tuning keys?

so for the armor pieces,it doesnt matter if it is light,medium or heavy?the gs is shared for each piece?
