The Omega Update is Finally HERE! No Man’s Sky Omega Gameplay 2024
The Omega Update is here for No Man’s Sky! The Omega update has massive changes for Expeditions in No Man’s Sky, specifically we can now use older saves in the new expedition. There are also changes to the Atlas Path missions, added missions on planets and other quality of life improvements. This is also the first time No Man’s Sky is offering a free weekend! Jump in this weekend ( Feb 15 to Feb 19, 2024 ) and play the expedition for free!

I'm just going to say. That I don't give two craps about this update. They keep having players do the same boul crap every update. So I have to slave my self to get a new reward. I just hate it like just make it so people can buy quicksilver with cash. I do feel like mining rocks for hours there's a lot of other games that can entertain me way better then boring crap like that lol. I put resources in the expedition storing on my normal save and they kept telling me complete your expedition. And I'm not going to leave the space station with out all the materials I put in there from my normal save. So I was like hell with it I'm deleting this save cause I going to other planets to go mining for hours that become boring once I got everything on a normal save. I put thousands of hours on a normal save and you think I'm going to be interested on starting a new save and doing things that we've done so many goddamn times Go to the teleporter roam around the space anomaly like how many times are we going to do that. And then not to let people use the resources for the mission for the people who don't want to mine and grab stupid plants just makes it way worse All these new rewards and I can't have access to them because of some stupid missions when they can just let people buy Quicksilver I'd rather do it that way than to be doing some boring missions.
I have everything on a normal save what makes these people think that I want to start from scratch every update just to get new rewards just let people buy the rewards then. I have no problem with spending $50 or 30 bucks even a 100 bucks to get Quicksilver. I want to be able to get the rewards from the old expeditions and I can't even get them. Every time I get on my normal save and I look at the expedition rewards and you can't have access to them because the old expeditions are gone just makes me not want to play the game at all

As time went on I assumed they were gonna get to the point of making you pay for the next update or dlc, but not this where you can now play for free.
If I own it I keep the expedition for 4 weeks right not just the weekend.
Finishing the old Atlas Path left you with an infinite mission at the end, so I doubt we’ll have to replay the whole game. Surely they implemented a way to continue from where we left off. I can’t imagine them wanting us to restart to game after this many years

Meh, I find the expeditions tedious and annoying. I wish they would just drop new things to build or make in the main game instead of putting everything in limited time events, or chance encounters.
Awesome update, now I believe I can get into the game a little more because I've been busy with space engineers, starfield, elite dangerous and star trek online, which are also great games by the way. I just hope they do at least one last thing: let us oversee more than one settlement!
Still no flight sim mechanics. So, no. No improvements to be seen.
First time I tried an expedition online, and I got to the atlas encounter and the dude before me collected all the language nodes and interacted with Atlas and the game wouldn't let me do anything.

Hey it's worth noting, if you kill the pirate freighters fast enough, you can land on the pirate AND the saved civilian freighter to buy either.
I had to stop the video at 4:00 because you repeated yourself so many times. The entire 1st 4 minutes you repeated every single thing you said at least 4 times with a couple things as many as 6 times. I'm embarrassed for you and I'm sure all your subscribers are as well. Honestly its really cringy and i wouldn't blame you if you just left youtube for a while. You are definitely the most annoying youtuber I've ever viewed.
Aside from the community quest, have there been any improvements to multiplayer sync?
There used to be an issue when playing with friends where one would encounter a pirate, but the others couldn't see or interact with that hostile and you'd sometimes watch a friend get gunned down without anyone being able to help.
They need to add visual ship upgrades like changing the cockpit or removing/adding engines,wings or changing the whole fuselage and also being able to place decals on the exterior of freighters and ships
I just hope one day we get fleet combat, and faction wars

I love all the new ships but I'm still rocking my Golden Vector from Pioneers
Gotta mention tho, guys! If you do not like No Mans Sky, but want to give Light No Fire a try, try out NMS on this free weekend, because Light No Fire will use the same engine, so you can experience how your PC will handle the engine when Light No Fire comes out 🙂

I just want a millennium falcon… a medium sized ship to upgrade, change cosmetics, interchangeable features to fly with my friends on board and do adventures together. … that’s all I’ve ever wanted with this game
The randezvous points are difficult, but well it's great….btw, it would be cool if they made something called dunstable black holes, which actually don't shot you anywhete but destroyers everything in it's path and causes gradual damage if you get to close to it…and imagine this, imagine systems that can get esten buy said black goles….that would be interesting….
We just need a complete narrative/story overhaul! Maybe get some voice acting for some of it. But please please please give us more story content I want something crazy
