Plans for Australian Navy to ‘invest in more equipment’

Sky News host Sharri Markson says there are plans for the Australian Navy to “invest in more equipment”.

Ms Markson said this comes as the threat from China “continues to loom”.

The Surface Fleet Review is expected to release within the next week.

“There’s been chronic underinvestment in the Defence space.

“Such an important issue.”

  3. You know, I say it’s always good to have a plan, because if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. But even more important is the plan to plan for a new plan, in case your plan has to be replanned.

  4. Why do you keep saying “democracy” as if it’s a good thing? Democracy is only 9 cannibals voting to eat the 10th! Individual liberties and freedoms MUST be the focus as in a republic with equal representation!

  5. UK. Listening to that interview was not similar, it was EXACTLY the same as the UK. The problem here is that they not only scrapped perfectly suitable military items, they destroyed our capability to design and manufacture new ones. Challenger 3 is made in Germany, we can't even make the shells for Challenger 2 – they closed the factory. I watched a video where your premier was interviewed about the government support to firefighters. I cannot write here what I want to, but what an 'awful chap' will have to do. I felt like hanging one on him, Gawd he's even worse than ours.
