Ukraine claims to have sunk Russian landing ship

Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian warship off the coast of Crimea using naval drones, Ukraine’s military claims.

The 112m Ropucha-class Caesar Kunikov landing ship from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was attacked on Wednesday, according to Ukrainian military intelligence.

“The Main Intelligence Directorate, in cooperation with all the components of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, annihilated the great landing ship “Caesar Kunikov” of aggressor power of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet” it stated.

The General Staff of the armed forces said that the Caesar Kunikov had been in Ukraine’s territorial waters near Alupka, on the southern tip of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula, when it sustained the fatal blow.

  1. If Russia goes home today, nothing will happen to them. Their oil will still pump, their country won't magically collapse. Them keeping this war going is a waste of their young men, and war material. The Ukrainians aren't going to suddenly give up. Putin needs to swallow his pride and think of the people he is supposed to be serving.
