In this episode of Garden Talk, I interview BluegrassGreenthumb. He is big into the natural farming approach and he’s also big into plant science. In this episode he talks about a lot of plant science that isn’t really taught or even talked about much. What plants do you like to grow? Peppers, citrus trees, house plants, lettuce, carrots, let us know in the comments section below. If you enjoyed this video please click that thumbs up button 🙂

Great stuff. You're my boy blue!
Real KNF Growers would never use acids on plants. Come on Chris. Tons of legit growers out there. Lets talk to them please.😜
Awesomeness
I just wanted to ask if you have could either grow out one of my strains (I've never given anyone, or sold a single bean), or do a LED vs HPS challenge???
Hi. Love your garden talks. Thanks for education as. I haveA question. I just bought the book teaming up microbes, and as you say it heavy to understand when you're a beginner. Someone who has some suggestions for a book that is a little easier to read
This dude knows whats up

"Thank you to my sponsors who made it possible for free information to be put out".🤣🤣 good stuff
"Oriental herbal nutrient" whooat?
Yeah

It’s pronounced Maron”guy” (like Gi-a in Gia Green)
Another great interview! Insightful questions and well thought out responses! Love the science based approach! Great job!
Chris, man you are such a great host! You're so easy to listen to, never coming off in a "too opinionated" attitude, and always asking legitimate, clear and concise questions. Absolutely love this interview series.

I was once in a large field of natural weed in Bhutan. The main use for it there is for animal feed they say it keeps the pigs happy, but some hash is made too. It was early summer so nothing was budding except one plant. It was really sticking out above the rest and of course I needed to investigate. I dried and smoked it and I don't recall if it had seeds but it stoned me real good. I have wondered about the one plant in a field of thousands, why was that one and only that one blooming early.? Genetics most likely.
Reminds me of making a sourdough starter, where you're collecting IMO's from the air. I'm going to make a sourdough starter and feed it to my soil. I'll keep you posted
I have two plants of which are herrmanefides. And I did not give said plant any hormones

His cottonmouth is killing me 😅
No, BluegrassGreenthumb, you said that wrong. Darwin didn't say survival of the strongest. He said survival of the FITTEST. This distinction is really important. The ones fitting best into a given environment survive. Sometimes those are the weak.
YESSSS ANOTHER SIX YEAR ROOKIE LIKE ME.
MASSIVE TIP GUYS .NEVER EAT YELLOW SNOW. NO REALLY MASSIVE TIP .NEVER LET THE ROOTS STOP GROWING ALWAYS REPOT AT THE RIGHT TIMES AND YOU'LL HAVE MOSTLY GREEN UP TO LAST DAYS OF FLOWER .DON'T REPOT AND YOUR LEAVES WILL GET CANIBALISED BEFORE FLOWERING IS FINISHED. I'M TALKING IN SOIL HERE. ALSO ON BIG PLANTS TOPPING TWO WKS BEFORE FLOWER AS YOU REPOT BPOTSTS BIGGER BUD GROWTH WETHER IT'S THE STRESS THAT CAUSES IT IM NOT TOO SURE.I'M MORE INCLINED TO BELIEVE IT'S REDUCING THE STRESS BY TOPPING HAVING LESS GROWTH STRESS ON THE ROOTS OR MAYBE ITS SYNERGISTIC. GOD I LOVE PLANTS
Not heared anyone mention yet sterilizing your ferments to just leave ions. and feed like hydro. pon. Just a thought
I'm not a flake cake by the way. All that children of light thing . Although I do like flakes and cakes etc theure made of light too. Lmao
Loads of fun with ferments and checking the nutrients available with goodnute testmeter .
We all seem to forget how clever plants really are. They produce exudates for a reason and if you add something to its detriment thinking it's a good thing. It's a whole big rabbithole .feed the bacterias and the roots will feed the plant with those bacterias etc etc
I was feeding ferments and wen I wanted to selfie some seeds nothing I could do could make them produce femonized pollen. big realisation for me that one was.
I like to try alsorys of things and wen something works then I want to know how it made it work so then your another rabbithole and 2 months or years later and you've researched like on a master's degree in everything. There the gems we all love to realize and wen you've done that it makes you feel really good .
Aim for a multi diverse compost and REPOT wen need to and the plant will do the rest.
333 MILLION YEARS OF EVOLUTION FOR PLANTS. AND WE ARE APARENTLY ??? 33 MILLION YEARS. SONIC COMUNICATION ETC ETC AND WE HAVNT REALISED THE PLANTS USING US. LOL COME ON PEOPLE SONIC COMUNICATION AND THAT'S JUST ONE .SYMBIOSIS WOW .WHATEVER YOU PUT A SEED INN IT WILL KNOW AS SOON AS THOSE EXPLORATORY ROOTS AT UNDERWAY THEM THE PLANTS ALREADY FIGURED OUT WHAT IT'S GOT TO DO TO GET LAYED OR LAY.
Wait till they take over man. We will all wake up wrapped in roots getting digested before out morning coffe .
Hermaphrodism is obviously a survival mechanism but it's not dominant it's recessive. Unless you culture it for dominance
. It will always be there but we worry too much OF it happens and your tits grow penis.then it's normally last week of flower and won't cause any harm. I've yet to experience hermieing erly on in flower.
Common sense is always the best tool in the box.
This is the first time I heard anyone say you have to use all the KNF products together. If that's the case count me out. I love the idea of it but I don't want to be running all over collecting IMOs and dealing with fish and loads and loads and loads of brown sugar and jars and milk and oat and OMG….nah I'm off the bandwagon
