  1. The only other game i know of with a rock paper scissors battle system is dinosaur king ds from 2008. Unfortunately, Dinosaur King ds is kinda broken in the sense you cant het all the dinosaurs in the game without cheats and, by extension, all the moves, too.

  2. I agree the game feels kinda long, but i think the number of monsters is fine because most of the time, you use most of them for the rite of channeling and only use strong ones in end and post game such as elder dragons and the other monsters you get from multi-player such as deviants and things like rajang

  3. Is it possible to play any of the older games for a playthrough, like when you are kinda dry for content. Sometimes, the year has a dry period, and i think you can make playthroughs or reviews for older games like fossil fighters and fossil fighters champions and games with fan translations like digimon world lost evolution and dqmj3pro. i would get it if you dont want to do the fan translations, though. But i think a great game to play would be fossil fighters champions its very fun and is the only monster taming game i know of that is official that a new game plus feature of some sort

  4. I love this game and currently still playing it on Switch right now. Even when I don't really want to fight anything it's still just fun to run around in. I remember when the first MHS came out while being new to MH (MH Generations) and also having had other monster tamers under my belt. At first I was concerned but I was thankfully proven wrong. Both games turned out to be great. But they aren't perfect. My biggest problems with MHS2 are the "missing monsties", the monsters that we can fight as enemies, but aren't hatchable monsties (ex. Duramboros). Then there's the fact you can no longer change monstie elements like in the first game. This is big becuase the monster roster for MH is based on you fighting them, not using them. There's a bunch of fire monsties while very few water ones. Being able to change elements gives better flexibility. So that should return if we get MHS3. Still the game is fun and an easy recommend.

  5. Such an amazing game, I freaking love it! 🤩

My only minor drawback is that one feature that wasn’t carried over to the sequel and that was the one that changes the elements and even the appearance of the monster based on the amount of genes of the same element it inherited. I thought that one was a fun feature for Stories.

  6. I was interested by this game when the trailers came out, and somehow it completely fell off my radar 😮 Now I'm mad I never played it, but definitely want to pick it up! Based on every monster taming game I've discovered from your channel (Cassette Beasts, Coromon, Monster Sanctuary) and loved, I'm very confident this will be a hit for me 😀

  7. Very disappointed that they removed the feature that changed the appearance of the monsties based on element from the first game. Immediately lost interest and stopped playing once I realized this was the case😔

  8. Great pick! The more new riders are introduced to Monster Hunter Stories series, the better!

Really hoping for MH Stories 3 in the future

Although Stories games were great, I think there's definitely room for improvement. Compared to its predecessor, Stories 2 already had bigger monstie roster, added more weapon variety and perfected the rite of channeling, but unfortunately also had lots of recycled dungeons, lacked the rewarding hidden poogies and I also felt the combat system should have included something to make up for the lack of the first game's semi random enemy attack patterns, which made adversaries more unpredictable (though I definitely understand why that would also frustrate players). I also wasn't a fan of the sequel's allies, as they kinda decreased my rider's and monstie's contribution to the battle.

With the right improvements, I think MH Stories 3 could become the perfect monster taming game.

  9. For these spotlight videos, I'd much rather see a lesser known game. Monster Hunter is practically a household name. A lot of the comments are saying they've already played the game.
