Can we not just use Lethal Country Measures ? Would that not be simpler, and better for everyone. ( I understand there are laws at ports & security must disembark in international waters )
Just saying, if you arm the civilians with lethal arms they can at least protect themselves if all else fails

Regarding armed security on ships, and in terms of laws and regulations, is there a difference between firing on attackers within the confines of the ship as opposed to firing at attackers approaching on the water ? The question is when is armed self defense of ships by their owners, crews, and security teams legal ?
