NASA’s Mars Helicopter R.I.P! Elon Musk Reacts…
A few days ago, the hero of humanity, the Ingenuity helicopter, ended its mission after a great journey on Mars, but this ending happened in a quite regrettable way.
That sparked many issues related to Nasa’s activity on Mars, including building bases. This topic then attracted even more attention after Elon Musk, who has always pursued the Mars Colonization, also gave a new reaction.
So, in today’s episode of Tech Map, let’s find out how Elon Musk reacted to this, why the Ingenuity issue is relevant to building bases on Mars, and why building the Mars base is so important.

  1. I remember that there was a concern during preliminary design meetings about a Mars habitat about having to develop an automated system to remove dust from the solar panels.
One of the Engineers wisely suggested that since there would be people inside the habitat, and that they would have the capability to exit the habitat, that NSAS just send up a broom with a long handle.

Sometimes people just insist on overthinking things.

  2. I think Elon is right. We should have had a small base on Mars by now. I think a Martian threw a rock at our Ingenuity. As good a theory as any. So what are we going to do about this? Great Episode

  3. I think we should just build a larger ship as a base. Send up segments maybe then assemble them in space. Maybe assembly from a panel with lower gravity is better. That's why we have engineers I guess.
I just know I want a ride up there. 😊
