I like the double wall & small block thing. Thinking if you can have small curved blocks, it'd be an awesome way to build a fireplace! I may have to invest in this game..

HEY SPANJ there is broadcast craft in the game but not until you have unlocked magic storage box. Anything in the magic storage box is available for crafting so it does not need to be in your inventory.
I like the time-lapse building, but wouldn't mind a chillin' and buildin' episode either. Glad to see this game series!
Thought the high speed build was pretty tight. I've seen it used in certain Minecraft build videos as well. It's a really nice effect.

I prefer speedy up a lot more then before after. I really like how the house turned out. Cottage feel and warm home feeling. Has nice character to it. Just to to add a water closet (toilet room) to bring it close to code. 😉

I was hoping that you and the crew could take over and rebuild in the ruins. If you each take over a house or so. The only problem I see is that you have to get rid of any remaining shroud and I'm wondering if the game will let ya'll do that. The only problem I can see with your current house build is the outside staircase. I'm hoping any enemies won't see it as a way to get you. Oh! and yeah really liking the fireplace and chimney setup.
I like the speed build and think it's better than just a before/after view.
the time lapse was cool, bit trippy at times at that speed but good to see how it all came together.
An early game trick is to build a flame altar near a structure you like the material of, and then tear it down for the blocks. This will give you blocks early game that you normally wouldn't have until much later. Once you have torn down the structure and gotten all the blocks just extinguish the altar and move on. Blocks stack to an insane amount, I think it is 1000, so you can get a LOT of building blocks relatively quickly. After your altar is extinguished the structure will respawn in time, so you can actually come back and tear it down again if you need more blocks.
Yes, it is sort of a cheat, but if you want all the blocks early, it is worth thinking about. Also some of you like looking around for a good base spot to start. No reason you can't just tear down all the ruins as you wander about and gather some building material as you search.
Since there is a glider in the game, it seems to me that the best place for your base is the highest point you can find. You can then travel insane distances quickly by gliding and controlled falling.
There is no structural integrity so you can build floating structures if you want. It is possible to build a tall tower, place an altar, build taller, place an altar, repeat until you have done the whole Babel thing. Once there you can place your final base altar and build your own Castle in the Sky. Call it Laputa if you want. I think that would be an AWESOME build.

The timelapse worked really well! Nice way to keep the pace, but not cut off all of us "Chillin' and Buildin'" enjoyers. Lol.

That rusty short sword you deleted to make room for the runes? By clicking the other button, you could have salvaged it for some runes, which would have stacked with the other runes… 😉

Spanj! The time lapse was great. Honestly put my house to shame lol. I highly recommend that you build the axe. The hatchet is a great weapon and is great for smashing things but sucks for chopping down trees!
The building system in this game looks pretty cool, reminds me of the Vintage Story chiseling system. But the rest of the game seems very bland, like a 10+ year old MMO.
Capt'n were you puttin the thrusters ,,,,And the Cap'ns chair…Shields up ….oh uh oops wrong game lol Well Well Well this game is Epic. You will be getting many different types of blocks to build with as you do the game, get new raw materials and the like. My comfort level Buff is 17 at the moment. And the Perk system will let you be what ever you want to be you can branch out in many different ways not just one at the same time. Plenty of time for that now isn't there!
As for building it's really free build, no odd angles yet but all this needs added to your Feedback to the Devs. And the fire places build 2 and merge them. This also makes it easy if you have company to cook. Make the small storage box's for now to empty out some of your inventory, Later when you get the small backpack it will give you 8 more slots to stuff full of what ever you want lol. I won't spoil it for you on how this is done. Though I really love that bit of extra freedom myself.

And as for dragons well we do have a Fell Wyvern somewhere out there, And I guess you would say a kind of Giant to defeat with all his henchmen such fun. Oh and watch out for the Wookies, uh big teddy bears ….monkeys,,, well you can decide that when you meet them. Now when you restart the game all the resources will just magically reappear but not where your Flame Altar is or you can wait 2 hours and trees and bushes will just come back from what I understand.
If you want to keep something you've done that's not at home. Just put down a Flame altar and it will stay. Wait that means you have to upgrade the altars so you can have more then 2,and expand It's build area….
There are a few changes here and there in the game from the Demo,,, had a couple hours into that myself. Love this game though can be a bit tough for some things. But what's a little challenge right!

I love the super speed build.
building feels a little clunky to me UI wise, but not too bad. Question is if there is any threat to your home.. which i REALLY hope. Building pretty houses is ok, but I personally hope that you will have to build defences against raids (like in Valheim).
