  6. I was playing Palworld and my character clipped through the map. I was having Ark flashbacks as I was falling endlessly through the vacant core of the Palworld planet, and then suddenly, my character spawned back up on land. The game detected that I had clipped through the world and fallen too far away from the playable area, and then it loaded me back to the land. Day 1 this game solved an issue that to this day I don't think Ark ever solved.

  8. I refunded after like 20 minutes, the performance was so bad. My rig isnt state of the art, but at 1080p a 2080 Super with a 9nth gen i9 should have been fine. For the price I was expecting something with at least a little polish to it. So I am not surprised by the low player count. The game needed the upgrade to UE5 for engine upgrades, not just to crank shaders to the max and kill performance on anything less than a 4090TI. [exaggeration of course but still]

  13. I don’t have a problem with charging money for services. At the end of the day, this is still a business. They have to “survive” as a business too, but in real life. If you want the better programmers, and enough of them to keep up with everything; it will cost money! They don’t volunteer for free just for our enjoyment, and as a former “ASE-cluster-owner” I feel like a lot of the Ark community thinks that’s how life is.
    I do have a problem with selling a product that doesn’t work right. We would never expect BMW to just give everyone a car. But when we buy the car, we expect it to work.
    I am still willing to be patient, give them time to get the other maps out and work on the bugs. Holding my final opinion till later. And I also agree that once the bugs are fixed, the game is optimized, and the other maps are out, the ASE community will cross-over. There are just too many advantages to ASA.

  17. I'm pretty much setting ASA aside for now. The blatant fact that Studio Wildcard cannot prioritize optimizing the core base code and fix the glaring issues BEFORE stacking more onto it is ridiculously glaring. 4 months into this already shows that Jeremy doesn't know how to code. The decision making, or the lack thereof, and lack up leadership inside the company is sinking this franchise. "Huge Update" is laughable.
