  1. Great point on socialization of kids. We are not full timers, but we homeschooled when our kids were growing up and similarly, we had lots of people tell us that our kids were great at speaking with all different ages of people (they did not shy away from speaking with adults). They received lots of opportunities for socialization with all the different activities available through our local homeschool group. I imagine it would be much the same for kids who are in a full timing family. You are offering them so many life experiences and a wealth of knowledge not available to kids who do not travel. They learn to think/evaluate/judge for themselves in a way they would not receive in a traditional public school setting. If we had young kids today, it would certainly be a consideration for us. Thanks for this video. Have a great Thanksgiving! (Jane in SC)❤🙏

  2. I work at Indian Rock RV park in Jackson NJ. I see all the time people pull in and tell me they are here to visit grand kids, other family, or attending a funeral of a family member or friend. Other people say they are renovating their house close by and needed a place to stay.

  3. Another amazing video and great topics. I liked to share my experience with children meeting friends at a RV campground. A couple came up to me while DJing a wedding and asked if I would DJ at their newly purchased campground. I immediately said, "Sure". The location was a couple of hours away from my home, so it was not a easy trip to and from. The event turned out to be terrific. Everyone enjoyed themselves, including all the kids. The campground owners were very pleased and booked my services for four times a year for more than ten years. Over that time, I got to know all the kids by name seeing them growing up year after year. As parents got to meet up with their RV friends, the kids did too.

  4. Good video The part about medical hit home for me. I was admitted into our regional hospital on Sept. 1st with West Nile Virus. 1st 3 weeks i don't remember anything, they said I had a seizure in the emergency room. I had several MRIs, cts, a spinal tap. etc they came up with a diagnosis. During physical therapy I pasted out I don't remember what happened, all I know was they were calling my name as they wheeled me to my room. I spent 37 days there before they released me to my home. The Drs at the hospital gave up. The bean counters played that insurance crap,
But that was a lie, all my bills were and are covered by the Veterans administration and they are still paying. The hospital had me on low pressure meds and high blood at the same time.
West Nile virus I got while camping at a Colorado state park with my wife. We were in Delta county and took trips to the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. We don't remember mosquitos anywhere. As of today I have OT, pt and home nursing. I also have all the equipment needed to walk supplied by the VA.
West Nile is a "nasty rabbit hole" no one should ever get. Thank God for my wife who worked in nursing homes, my daughter-in-law who is a RN, my wife's daughter who is an LPN and my niece who a MD, I am slowly healing at "home" . All my kids and family are local Everyone in my family who are in town pitched in to do my home chores I can't do at this time. CDC has a map of where West Nile is reported. Use mosquito spray with as much DEET as possible, you don't to get this disease. What really sucks is I have to learn to walk again, I have muscle weakness, and have short term memory lose.
There was a 80-year-old woman, was found by her family completely paralyzed in here trailer. She was moved to a nursing home, no gains to a normal life.
    Good luck Bob

  5. OMYGOSH I laughed so hard when you mentioned family folks wanting you to come inside and use their bedroom etc.!!!!! We had the same issue on a trip to TX to stay in the driveway of sister-in-law. She stayed at mother-in-law's house so that we could use her house, insisted that we use her bathroom (that was actually a decent idea, since there was no hookup), but basically insisted we should move into her house during the visit.

Of course, we did not. We are not full-timers, but when we're on the road, our beloved Elinor is our HOME, and we love "roading" with her. We chose traveling this way because it is SO comfortable and so easy to just stop anywhere and enjoy, and it's fun, and it gives you a great sense of independence, and it's a great learning experience, and you can visit an infinite variety of types of places, and and and and and. And we love our tiny little bedroom.

I just think it's hilarious the way people think you must be uncomfortable and wish to be staying in their house!!!!!

  6. Loved the Q & A as well as including Chad.

We bought our Momentum in Texas and got a release letter from the dealership which allows us to have maintenance done at other authorized dealerships. They were very willing to do it to bypass that strange Texas law.

  7. Love these fire side chats. Great informational series. The three/four of you are a good team to answer questions at different levels. Please tell Tara i hope she feels better soon. Quick road story. We had stayed in a beautiful campground Near Niagra Falls (Four Mile Creek) and were in line to dump. The 2 ladies in front of us were on their first girls trip and had never done all the functions that their husbands do. They were at the dump station and my guess did not use the 90 or the adaptor…. Yep!! you guess it….everywhere. I was just about to go help them when they pulled out their fresh water hose and hooked it to the non-potable. At that point i moved to the other station.

  8. Great informative video again. Including another full timer with their aspect was a great idea. I'm going to follow them as well. The health issues was great because I suffer from a couple myself that may hinder me going full time.

  9. Hey, guys, I have been watching you for quite a while now. Partially because I think you're crazy (in a good way) Partially because Renee makes me think of my daughter, and funny as heck. Lastly, because we are similar full-time RV'ers also x2yrs now. If you're going to make fun of Chad for being 54, Then you're probably gonna enjoy poking fun at me because I've got him beat by six yrs. Follow their channel too! Now that we got the fun out of the way, I want to say I loved this last video, the questions that were posed are very common concerns. My wife and I jumped into this full-time life. After living six months steady in our local area TX, In an RV park. We sold had our 3000 square foot home, continued working our jobs, as we were closed out our careers to begin retirement. We probably would not have done any of this without watching a few videos and finding like-minded people like, Phil and Stacy. I think we all know who they are… I think in most couples that do this, there's always someone who wants to do it first, and convinces or at least introduces the other. You guys are a blast. I totally enjoy your channel. Your content, the realism that you bring to the RV life. It is definitely not all peaches and cream. But is any life? One of your viewers asked about raising children on the road. I have seen families on the road and follow certain family channels, that have raised their families this way. Ones that come to mind is "Keep Your Daydream". They are a blast although they're a bit fast-paced for us. We totally enjoy watching them. I saw another family which had six kids living in a towable and those kids were awesome. So, I think it is what you make of it. I don't think you can raise children on the road without "owning it". That stated, I think it's got to be one of the best things a kid can see and do, in their younger lives. The answer Renee gave andd then you backed her on. Go for it! I totally believe in. I only wish I would have taken my kids on the road. Had I had the option. Well, for somebody who's never commented on your page before, I think I've drawn this out enough. I wish you well, safe travels and God bless. I'll be watching what you do.

  10. New full timer here. I have a question for you. How do you decorate your RV for Christmas? I have a few trinkets around, but really want a tree and the do the light the outside thing. But I don’t want to damage the exterior with hooks. The tree looks like it will eat up too much space. How does everyone else get their camper into the Christmas spirit? Do you have a tree? I could use some suggestions to help decorate my RV.

  11. I taught in a public school for 9 years before staying home with my kids. All I can say is just because they are in school does not guarantee any level of social skill. Socially awkward people have come from all walks of life including public, private and home school. The idea that just because kids go to school means they won't be socially awkward has always been an interesting concept. Like seriously look back on your own high school experience and think if you knew any socially awkward kids or maybe you were the socially awkward kid at one point.

I also have a comment for everyone: Hey everyone, I will be traveling in December to FL from Virginia, Beach, VA. It will be around mid December. I have a 1 ton truck if anyone need that extra pull. 14. Good video y'all! I am a retired fire department officer. There is a thing called water hammer that occurs when a valve is opened or closed suddenly. If you SLOOOOWLY open and close your valves you can mitigate the problem of the sewer hose jumping or flexing or pressure against a directional change like a 90 degree fitting. Happy camping.
